I used to be an advocate of AWS. They have recently introduced multi-factor authentification and I have been shut out of my account. I have spent R1.5m on a project that will die unless I can get access to my account, but their help and customer service has proven to be dismal and unhelpful. I just hope this gets a competent human to contact me, with something other than a long email filled with jargon and unintelligible instructions.
Beware of Discovery Bank. I lost my bank card in 2019 and I am unable to find a way to cancel the account without having to go into their store (inconvenient, not ideal in COVID times) or without sitting forever on their call center line. I even contacted the only email address on their website - someone in their investment relations team - who did not give me an email address or help resolve my request to leave their behavioural bank.. They are just pathetic: their behavioural banking model has not noticed that it took them >6 months to get me the bank card, and then they have not noticed that I have made a transaction for years. They have the cheek to send me promotional material regularly. There model would be better described as bullying banking. Pathetic service. If you sign up with them, remember you were warned.
