MY FIRST EVER REVIEW OF ANY BUSINESS, PAY ATTENTION, TURN AROUND NOW!!! The estimated quote for the service we paid for was R51 834,51, this is not a bad quote compared to other quotes I received. They demanded a 70% deposit (R 36 551,44), which we had no problem paying. We did however have a problem paying the 30% before the installation was completed, this is obvious from a consumer standpoint. Michelle kept demanding that we pay the full amount before installation, which we eventually agreed, but only if the material was on site, then we would proceed to make an immediate payment on the day of installation. This payment agreement would protect our company from Clear View Frameless disappearing with our money. Nothing out of the ordinary, it's a matter of being careful. The above arrangements we had no problem with, but what happened next left my jaw hanging... On the time of their arrival, I sat in my office, I greeted them politely and I kept on working while they started with the installation. Suddenly, a man stormed into my office, he did not introduce himself, he did not make eye contact with me, he did not say anything, he just stood in my office very tense and rude. Twice I tried to greet the man but he ignored my presence completely. I thought his behaviour was disrespectful, however, I decided to stay out of his way. After about 2 minutes of awkwardness, the man ordered his men to pack up and go outside. Very confused, I then phoned my boss to ask if something went wrong, she told me she paid the amount due and I must make sure the man does not leave the premises until we reach an understanding. When I approached the man to try and resolve the issue the atmosphere was intense. He ignored me and continued to pack up our goods, I then acted and told the security guard to keep the gate closed. I was not going to let the man leave with our paid goods. He replied, “that’s okay, I’m phoning the police”. He then jumped on his phone and phoned the police. Soon after he phoned the police arrived. The man did not bother to give me any explanation why he was acting in this way. He simply retracted. As the manager of this office, it is considered standard protocol to resolve issues like this. Should the rude man have approached me first with his problem, I would have immediately attended to his needs. I then phoned Michelle, as I felt uncomfortable speaking to the owner being so aggressive. Michelle explained to me very rudely that the POP my boss sent was fraudulent. I finally got clarity on the situation, my boss sent a screenshot of her statements on her banking App to assure the man that the payment was made, however, she waited on the bank’s side to clear the payment and send a formal POP. This is an understandable delay in my mind, as we have no control over the delay from the bank's side. The bank even confirmed that they are willing to send proof of the exact time the transaction was made. Not long after, I heard the rude man saying “I received the POP”. How embarrassed must he have felt after accusing our company of fraud?. All this happened in a space of 10-15 minutes. Keep in mind my boss already paid 70% of the installation fee prior to installation, and then the rest of the money the morning they arrived, as per agreement. Without apologising, the man left. I then sent Michelle a Whatsapp message to explain how I felt and how disappointed I was. She then blatantly again accused our company of fraud, which is a very serious allegation to make. Had they just waited 10-15 minutes for the POP none of this would have been an issue. Now the second part. The installation was done sloppy. The measurements of the glass panels are wrong. No handle is attached to the door. Clear View Frameless vanished, no answering of phone calls, in fact, Michelle said we must stop contacting them as they refuse to complete the job. The worst part is, they have our R51 834,51. Stay far away. Not even “one star”. They will hear from our lawyers soon. Be ready Clear View Frameless!
