Shocking! Seems like I will not get the R4700 motorcycle jacket I ordered and paid for in December 2020 or a refund. The proprietor, Johan, really got me with his “double-speak” vague responses. Ive got all the emails to show the sad story. It’s online vendors like this that the authorities should clamp down on. Disappointing!
Be careful in dealing with Johan Vermaak from MX Alliance- in fact, would avoid buying from him altogether. I ordered an Alpinestars Andes V2 Jacket in December 2020. 9 months later, still no jacket despite empty assurances and hollow apologies. According to Johan it was in the next batch from overseas months ago - still nothing received. I have many many emails to show how he uses double-speak and responses in broad terms- which makes it impossible to get honest precise details on your shipment. Extremely frustrating as the savings in dealing with MX Alliance are not worth it. He ends up simply saying he'll offer a refund, but I understand he then deducts a "handling fee"! Is this how he makes money? I am not sure I am ever going to see my jacket and will have to sue him to ultimately get all my money back. But how do you sue someone for such a small amount - the costs of having to litigate will far exceed the mount claimed. He now refuses to take my calls or respond to my emails. He's giving online retailers a bad name.
