What an awful service. They gladly took my R2070.00 for steelwork I paid for to be installed (17 December 2024). Then I had a story that suppliers are closed for steel over the Festive Season so they couldn't make the steel I ordered, that was never mentioned at the time when Justin quoted and told me that this will be done quickly. It is such a small amount of steel that such a big company had no stock, big lie number one. In January then suppliers weren't open yet then Justin's father and he were busy with big orders and will 'try' to fit my order in. Apparently just over R2k is petty cash for some people, not for hard working people like me though. Then I get a voicenote from Justin that my work is complete but they can only install during working hours and not after hours or over the weekend. I asked them to please give me a date and time they can come to install so that I can get someone to open up for them. Never heard from them again. I tried calling Justin and Catherine, neither pick up the phone. Please stay away from this business, this is definitely not an honest company. Whoever is giving them such lovely referals on this platform must be very close to them.
Firstly, this is not a South African website but from Luxemborg. They do have some people hiding in South Africa that help them ****** money and threaten clients but if you are looking for a contact number or an office you won't find it. What you will find is *****ulent individuals that pose as singles from overseas living in South Africa. Questions they will ask you from inception of your dialogue are: Do you live alone, do you have children living with you, do you own or rent your home, do you have a stable income, etc.? All of these things they keep so that when you block them after you have subscribed to once off subscription and they try to auto deduct money from your card they use that information to hound you, threaten you and threaten with lawsuits even though they took more than what was advertised as the once off fee and you kept quiet. Basically, this company doesn't have 'academics' as dating candidates, you will have leftovers or people that try to ask you for money as profiles. Any way you turn it this is purely a website that takes money from innocent people that are trying to find true love. This company is to be investigated by Interpol as they are targeting South Africans, especially lower income people that cannot defend themselves. Luxemborg Trade Commission could also help by reporting this company on their side as this will affect any legitimate business trying to do business with South Africa based on companies that ****** money from us. Not a single reply or an apology from Academic Singles if you go through all these reports of bad service, why, because they deem that it is their right to rob us and ****** money from us. Start taking photos of unusual cars in front of your homes because you enter your area and street address that is supposed to be 'confidential' when you signed up, not confidential, just ammo for them to harass you a tad longer. I see alot of people saying that even when you cancel your subscription they will keep on taking money off your credit card. They have made you tick off to agree to Terms and Conditions and somewhere in there they are using legal ities to ***** from you and lets not forget it costs them peanuts to sue your because they pay from Euros which makes our Rands petty cash for their legal team. If any of you are being harassed it is time to contact Carte Blanche and expose these ******* for what they are.
Makro Brakpan gas refill station runs a very interesting side to the business. I took my Afrox gas bottle to be refilled as they have a statement online that Makro refills gas. As it was just after 5pm and I already had to shower in cold water for two days the representative told me they don't refill gas, I would have to exchange my bottle. I was give an ugly rusty bottle as an exchange but in desperation I had to take it as I needed a hot shower. I asked the representative that when I come next time if I could get my Afrox bottle back as it was property he told me no problem. Today I went to do exactly that now that my gas has finished and I was told that he couldn't do that, that is not how it works. As anyone knows when you purchase a gas bottle you have to pay a huge deposit. I have had that bottle for years and 19kg Afrox are hard to find. Basically, not only did Makro made me pay for the full gas bottle of gas they also ****** me of the deposit that they get back into their pockets when they return the Afrox bottle. I spoke to two managers who went to 'investigate' but still nothing was resolved and I had to take the rusty green bottle back and go to a local hardware store who gladly exchanged it for at least a nicer looking bottle. Do not trust Makro gas refill stations, rather go to a normal gas refilling point or even a hardware store, it may be a little bit more but they won't ***** from you.
I made a purchase on line and the money was quickly deducted off my credit card for the order made. Snatcher could not fulfill the order, I asked them to cancel the complete order and refund me the payment made, this request was acknowledged and accepted on 08th of August 2024 with understnading that the refunds take 7 to 10 days (for which a consumer has no choice but to wait). It is now 29th of August 2024 and neither 10 working days or 10 regular days have been adhered to. I do not recommend you make purchases from them as they will withold their money from a refund. The number they have on the internet website to contact them they do not answer and they do not respond to emails when you request explanation or an update on your refund. Basically you will be at their mercy and potentially never see your money back. We are not talking about a small amount here, but in excess of R1400 which is alot for any income family.
Hold on the phone for over 40 minutes just to find out how to upload a video to complete the application as they only allow 150mB of video of your whole external and internal car. Even though their rates are super cheap, concern is about their avaialability as a company for support and to allow you to insure propery before cancelling whatever you had before with other institutions.
Professional and products are properly packagrd
Snatcher is customer and service based company that goes out of their way to deliver and event if the product is faulty they will exchange it without a hassle.
I purchased a 2-hour Pamper Package. When I tried to make an appointment, availability was near impossible and I was bounced between consultants. On two occasions I was encouraged to get a refund if I didn't like their lack of availability. When I expressed my disappointment and advised that I would have to address their behaviour with the online portal where I bought a voucher I was threatened that they would report me for being abusive and to advise the portal to 'protect other Salons from my Abusive attitude'. Absolutely shocking behavior !!!
