Incompetent and Arrogant

I requested Bob the Plumbers services to install a sink for my newly renovated kitchen based on their great reviews on Google. Unfortunately my experience with them was the complete opposite. Bob the plumber fit work in like a sausage machine. Always in a hurry to get to the next job. After the installation was eventually done, the water did not drain at all. I have told the plumber that the drainage was perfect before the installation done by them. The plumber said he heard the toilet flush and can hear a blockage and it's not in the kitchen. So not because of them. They had to rush out so I told them I'll pour drain cleaner in, but will call them if if it doesn't work. It didn't work. On the subsequent inspection done, it was not a blockage anymore, they said my piping was incorrect and need chop up the wall to replace it and they quoted me an absurd amount to do it . They also didn't seal the pipes after the inspection and my new installed cupboards got water damage. After explaining numerous times that the issue cannot be the piping as it drained perfectly for many years, I decided to get another plumbing company in to investigate. The very next day the other company had a look and confirmed in 5min that it was indeed the installation done by Bob the Plumber that was incorrect, and fixed their mess in 1.5hours. Basically had to redo what they should have done properly. After many messages, Bob the plumber did agree not to charge me labour for the mess they made and only for the work done correctly by them. But did not want to pay for the damages caused by them and not once apologised for their mess made. On the contrary has been very arrogant and ignorant about it. I have settled their invoice minus the quote received by the carpenter to fix their damage. They said they will not respond to my damage quote and send my "unpaid" invoice to a debt colleting company in attempt to ruin my credit score. This forced me to open a Hello Peter count and publicly complain about service delivery for the first time in my life. There are people who cannot afford it getting extorted by service companies like Bob the Plumber every day. It's sad.
