We recently renovated our kitchen and decided to use Status Stones to do the countertops. We did it from a distance away as we weren't staying anywhere nearby. After about 2 weeks we went to go and look and at first sight the countertops looked like they were done really well. After closer inspection we realized that the one countertop wasn't being upheld by anything except a piece of wood they found in the garden. They didn't do any reinforcements except a piece of wood. We were not told that this is what they had done, our builder warned us that he found the piece of wood and that we should be careful. After contacting Status Stones, they confirmed that if we move the wood, our very expensive countertop will collapse. They then confirmed that they don't do any reinforcements with cleats and that it is not part of their specifications. I can't understand how a company that installs countertops can't do reinforcements of their work. I would not recommend using them at all as they can't complete their job.
