Old Mutual Money Account - *****ulent deduction by an app through my Apple Itunes account(family linked phone) resulted in me suspending my money Account. I was making a payment from my account when I saw the deductions of the *****sters. I called into the call centre and asked the lady to stop the payment as it still shows "Pending transaction" on my account. She informed me that the transaction is finalized when the money is no longer in my account and that I must take it up with Apple and the Police. I luckily only use this account as my secondary account with almost no money in it. I decided to not make use of this account again. This was end August 2023. Last week I received a statement from Old Mutual and I decided to just check why is the account still active, on a previous consultation(daughter's account) the Old Mutual consultant at Heidelberg branch told me that they automatically close an account after 3 months with no funds in it. Big was my surprise to see that the payment I made was reversed but the *****ulent transactions went through. This after the people I made the payment to asked about the payment and I send them proof of payment! No indication from Old Mutual that this payment was reversed! Now I am looking like a *****ster and fool in their eyes! This previous Saturday I went into Old Mutual at Heidelberg Mall to unsuspend(unblock) my account to access the reversed funds, after a lot of questions and time, being directed to the call centre, I was told that my account was unblocked and that I can transact again, even got a sms. I tried to log into my account but it still showed that the account was blocked, the lady told me that I must wait 10 minutes and then the account will be unblocked. Today Monday afternoon, it was still blocked, called into the call centre and was told that it was blocked again? Huh, that does not make sense, well after a lot of questions again, redialled after being cut-off and then lots of questions again from the beginning, my account was unblocked. Hallelujah! This is very bad customer service and of the 14 cubicles in Heidelberg only 2 was open on Saturday, today the system gave problems and info had to given a few times over and over. Very unprofessional! I am not even going to put in an effort to throw away my card as far as I can, after my treatment by Old Mutual I am not even going to put in that extra energy. I am going to stay far far away from Old Mutual Money Account in the future!!!
I took out a Momentum Life cover policy when I got a Home Loan from Absa, ceded to Absa to cover the loan when I die. Almost 2 years later now and I took out a Absa Instant Life cover policy to replace the Momentum policy. Absa was quick to put a cession on the policy but after almost 5 weeks I cannot remove the ceded Momentum policy from my profile. 2 week emails were sent and promises, then I was told to go into a branch. The lady gave a form that I had to fill in and she sent it to HO, after a week she said there was no feedback regarding the email. I called and spent a whole afternoon on the phone to find out where the form must be sent. I called the branch and told the receptionist to give the consultant the message, because she was busy with a client. After a week when I enquired about any feedback the consultant said she did not receive the message and that she is still waiting for HO. While I was with her she sent the email again. After a week I called again to ask for a update. It took 15 unanswered calls before somebody called me back. The consultant said that HO said she must send the mail to another department, Which I do not believe, because emails was sent to almost everybody except the gardener and the cleaner. I told her to cancel the email, because I am going to cancel my Instant Life policy because I cannot pay double premiums to Absa and Momentum every month. That was last Friday, when I called today, I was told that she took a 16 workday leave and nobody at the branch, Mookgophong branch, know if she did it or what is going on with my case. So Absa and the Mickey Mouse branch think I must wait 3 weeks and enquire again? No hand over or anything, this is very unprofessional service. But wait, When I tried to cancel my Life Cover at Absa, they told me there is a cession on the policy and that they cannot cancel it! 08600 08600 and 0860 111 007 does not exist when I tried calling. Very bad service, I am very disappointed at the poor service, lack of willpower at Absa to resolve an issue and general incompetence at staff that do not know where to send emails to the correct Departments. To everybody out there, stay clear of Absa, unless you to struggle every day!
The agents at Weelee contacted me promptly after I submitted the vehicle details, they kept me in the loop the whole time. Very professional!
Mahindra Rivonia posted on Facebook about a deal on a XUV300. If you click on the tab, it takes you to a screen stating the deal R3350 pm etc, just below the picture of the car it list XUV 300 1.2T W6, but if you call they say the deal is for the W4, same as on their website, the deal there is R2899, again with the picture and listed below is states XUV300 1.2T W6. But wait, this deal is also for the W4, not the W6 as indicated on the ad. So please, make sure the deal you sign for is the deal you think you are getting, it looks like they are sugarcoating and puffing-up the ad to lure you and then the small print and T&C's pour vinegar on top of everything. Give them a miss!
On 24 January 2022 I contacted Webuycars to get an offer on my car. A lady called and spoke to me and said they will send an offer through and if I accept it, I can take the car to any branch for payment. After a few hours I received a message that Webuycars are not able to assist with this vehicle. I called them and asked for a reason, was promised that somebody will call back and explain. 25 January still no response so I called again, was told again that somebody will call me back with a response. On 26 January still no response from Webuycars, when I called the lady told me that they do not buy any cars that have any issues or error codes, damages or any problems, because they do not fix the cars. When I asked why 80% of their cars on the floor have issues or problems and they bought it, she said they will call me back to explain. Well, I am still waiting. My car is in perfect condition compared to the cars under R100k on their floor. This is the 3rd time I have struck out with webuycars, previously I wanted to buy a car and experienced no or bad service from the sales person. I am just wondering why they advertise that they will buy any car, there and then? In the media you hear how they built this company on sound professional and good practices, but with all the lying and no service, I really wonder if this company is only interested in the money now. What a bad experience, hearing their adverts on the radio with the lies make me nauseous.
