I have sent emails and a query regarding this but it's like talking to a brick wall because the person helping didn't even read what I said! I SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED that I was told long ago that my debit orders would be cancelled and that I have to transfer manually, which I have been doing for months, transferring thousands of rands, well yesterday I had money taken from my account, I made a query about this but the person responding said I should talk to the finance department to make a new arrangement? This is a circus, I will be looking to study somewhere else next year because I get ZERO support from VC and then garbage like this happens while NOBODY does anything. I had to pay debit order fees and dispute fees.
I have paid manually for my fees for almost a year now, then out of nowhere I received a notification saying that R180 has been taken from my account, WHAT on earth is this? even if I get my money back, debit order fees have also been deducted. PLEASE FIX THIS. I PAID my fees on the day they were due, which I was not even supposed to do because it was weekend.
Once again I've been blocked from accessing student resources without any warning, I've paid all my fees to date and have no outstanding payments, no one is answering emails because it's weekend, and they won't answer calls either, I'm really getting sick of this and I am considering going to another institution because this is not right, I have an assignment due in a few days and they blocked me out right before the weekend knowing full well I'd be affected while no one working in the situation, they didn't see one of my previous payments and I went back and forth explaining that I paid and sent proof, I assume they missed my payment again but that's no excuse to block my access without warning!
My access to the student portal and resources has been blocked once again without any explanation, I have an assignment due soon but no one could be bothered to even explain why my access has been blocked, and now it's weekend, no one is answering calls or emails, as far as payments I am up to date but even if I wasn't why would they just block my access without saying anything? I was supposed to catch up on work and finish assessments but now I can't.
I keep getting blocked from accessing student systems, I have paid on time every month this year yet I have been blocked again, I can't even log a query because the system doesn't recognize my student number, I have an assignment due soon and I made effort to prepare for loadshedding yet this is how I am treated, no communication at all just straight to blocking my account just as I was getting into the groove of things and no one is answering my email.
I am now settled in and was able to fix an issue with logging in, I appreciate all the help.
I've spent days trying to get help with logging in, and when someone finally responded they blocked my access to one of the student portals, the intranet, I've sent emails back and forth trying to get help but no one is saying anything now, this is holding me back, I am supposed to be drafting answers for assignment questions but I can't even access those assignments because I've been blocked for non payment, however I DID pay and sent proof of payment numerous times and nothing came of it, now it's the day before my next debit order, I am paying for something I'm not even allowed access to, there's no hesitation when it comes to VC blocking me for non payment but when I request help there's no feedback, keep in mind that I HAVE PAID and sent proof of payment.
This is just ridiculous, I asked for assistance last week because I couldn't log in, after that whoever was reviewing my case went out of their way to block me from the systems because apparently I didn't pay this year, I've sent them proof of payment numerous times now, my next debit order is tomorrow and I'm still locked out! This is ruining my momentum in studying because I can't see any of the content but more importantly I've PAID already and I'm still being taken for a joke with these borderline punitive measures.
I was told my account was in arrears when I in fact paid, after waiting ages someone finally told me it was not in arrears, no explanation whatsoever. Now I’ve been waiting almost a week because of a debit order that hasn’t gone through, I send tickets and emails but they don’t reply, but when it’s time to tell me I’m in arrears when I’m not they’re super quick to block my account, wanna be done already with this place because I get no support at all, just hounding me for money all day, and their guidance counsellor who laughed at me, wanna be done with this place already because it stunted my life and academic career.
They’re very quick to call me and pressure me through emails about late payments, which I already paid and then when I confirm I paid their don’t respond, what is this? there’s no support at all for me as a student, their guidance councillor hidden behind a screen could barely contain her laughter when I told her something personal, I just wanna be done already because I’m over this place.
