My experience with Leigh from Pisces Glass Studio in Boundary Road, Roodepoort, leads me to believe that she adopts a VERY one sided and greed-driven approach to business. I ordered a single paned arrangement of glass at the end of November 2021. Almost immediately, the excuses began... Some three months later, the glass artwork arrived at my home, delivered by her service provider, whom she also tried to twist me into paying an additional R 400.00 for. Eventually, after me insistently citing her undertaking to me, where she agreed to deliver the glass artwork, she withdrew the cost thereof. Leigh demands all her money upfront. I paid nearly R 10 000.00 throughout the various stages of production of the glass artwork. Leigh demands her "progress payments" within 24 hours of invoicing, something I became very annoyed with: I felt like I had to constantly drive the production process - push and enquire as to what was happening after weeks of silence on her part, only to be told that there was always some kind of delay, be it personal, logistical or otherwise, that had held up proceedings. But goodness, when the invoice was sent, I HAD TO JUMP! I was inundated with a phone call, wattsapps and an e-mails when money was needed! Leigh places herself in a pre-calculated and perfectly strategised position of unacountability: before one can even lay eyes on what is is you have paid for, she ensures that she has been paid in full.... Upon my glass installer unwrapping the delivered and untouched article a week later, I immediately sent Leigh footage of the untouched glass artwork, not even fully unwrapped, with several cracks and broken pieces of glass, still within it's packaging. I requested that she take back the damaged article for repair. To protect the integrity of the glass work, I offered to pay for the transportation of same back to her factory for repair. NOTHING and NOBODY has been near her delivered packing with the exception of my glass installer himself. I did not expect the repair to be done for free, but that there would be some form of joint accountability from both parties - some fairness... Imagine my surprise when Leigh sent me an ADDITIONAL invoice of R 6 500.00 to repair the damage, R 4 000.00-odd of which was for her "discounted" time to repair the work!! Upon my refusal to be *****ed a second time, I beckoned Leigh to be fair - to no avail. Leigh hid behind her "terms and conditions", which I never was offered, saw or signed.... Please reconsider how much frustration you wish to invite into your lives before making use of Leigh's services. In the interim, I have found a far more professional, competent and cost effective service provider...
