I bought a Bennet Read iron from Game West Coast Mall,Vredenburg. The iron stopped functioning,I took it back to Game since it had extended warranty.I received feedback from Game after 21 days, that I have to pay R195.00.to replace a themorstat and the plate.Apparently these two parts are not under warranty. What does warranty actually mean for Game?It was never explained to me,which parts of the iron are covered under warranty and which parts are not. I believe this is just a loop-hole for Game not to replace my iron.
My name is Ziyanda Maninjwa. I took my car to CPI Performance Innovation, Vredenburg on 24 January 2022. The car overheated and the engine was not running anymore. At CPI Performance Innovation I was assisted by Mr Lawton. It was discovered that the challenge was the top gasket. The initial quotation I received was R16 998, and I gave Mr Lawton a go ahead to start working on my car. On 11 February I received another quotation R21 864,70. His explanation with regards to the second quote was that he replace the 3 pistons. I gave him a go ahead again to work on the car. On 16 March I went to Mr Lawton and he had not started working on my car. He mentioned that my "damn car" is frustrating him. At this point I had already paid R21 864. He only started giving me feedback with regards to my on 18 March. 28 March I went to fetch my car and I was told to R5800. At this point I did not understand what was the extra money for, he then said he had to work on replacing the pistons. I did not understand this explanation at all, I then R2100. That is the only amount of money I had. The reason why the initial quote went up to R21 864, was because he had to work on replacing the pistons. Upon fetching my car I realized that the light of the cooling system was still going off. He poured water in, instead of engine coolant. When I asked him about this he said he used a clear coolant. He advised me to look into fixing the wheel bearings. I was not happy with the service and I took my car and left. I took my car to another place, It was discovered that there was nothing wrong with the wheel bearing, but the problem was with the CV joint. He gave me bad advise because I had already paid the other company to fix wheel bearings. The invoice of R27 699 does not even state what work he has done on my car. My car is not running well at all. I had to take my car some place else and I had to pay an amount of R3515. I am not happy at all with the service I received from CPI Performance Innovations. I would really appreciate your assistance in this regard.
