Firstly, you pay the same amount per month for online studying as you do for in-class studying and yet the online students receive very little feedback and attention. Our first experience, was terrible and Cornerstone kept getting the registration incorrect, thereby delaying my daughters starting date, putting her behind from the start and they are awful at corresponding and you keep going to a "Help Desk" which takes forever to respond and if your problem is not attended to, you can never liaise or communicate with one person, it keeps changing and they send you messages to say the problem is resolved when it is not. You have to keep repeating yourself. During registration, they told me that I must expect delays as they are busy...... Really? Your job is to register students, and because they were "busy" it put my daughter on the backfoot from the beginning and no extensions were granted . After registering and starting with the studies, I have found now that my daughter goes through so many issues with some of the lecturers. In the one subject, the lecturer is just not involved at all and this is going to be one of her majors. Assignments were submitted in mid-February and it is now almost mid-April with absolutely no response or marking by this lecturer. It is very concerning and I loved studying when I was at university, but my fear is that the whole Cornerstone experience could put my daughter off studying and all because of Cornerstone Institutes poor administration, poor correspondence and poor lecturers. We know of other students who attend Cornerstone and there experiences are not much different to ours above.
