Tangled - Aptly named and dissapointing online ordering experience
My partner ordered and paid for an I-Pad cover from Tangled during November 2024, to date we have not received the order. Just empty promises via email, with no delivery materialising whatsoever. Be warned - this is a ripoff, con-artist type website.

Posing as Tertiary Educators
Varsity College is very expensive and really bad at communication with both student and parent/sponsors. We have now had three and a half years of experience with Varsity College, which puts us in a position to comment. VC consistently dont respond to 'tickets' logged by students on their 'on again - off again' - (useless) Learner Management System (LMS). Truly an abismal experience, their registration mess earlier this year was just the tip of a floundering iceberg. I would strongly caution anyone thinking of enrolling their child at the Independent Institute of Educations (IIE's) Varsity College, they are good at selling and extremely bad at delivering. What is unfortunate is that there are some good people at the Lynwood Glen campus - who are being badly let down by the systems that are not functioning, and the lack of good IT and student experience support. You have been warned, think twice before you apply to study at VC peops.

Hackers in the Steel Industry
Very attentive when quoting, and initially fixed what one of their employees had messed up during the installation of a front gate. But it's sad when you pay R15K for a front gate that then tears off it's hinges. This in spite of the property owner suggesting that the gate should have three to four bullet hinges. The hinge alignment was not correctly carried out, insufficient grease added into the bullet hinges in installation, and the result is that after the heavy rains earlier this year, the gates hinges then seized and the lower hinge simply tore out of the gate frame, when closing. I would think twice before getting involved with this company - be warned.
