Good Day Sorbet, I have had the worst experience of my life at your Sorbet Table bay branches. I went to have my eyelashes done on Saturday (11 May) at 10 am. I was there on time, but had to wait for the lash technician to buy tape, eye pads etc etc from clicks. She took 1 hour and 30 minutes to do my lashes. I didn’t mind as I was hoping she was doing a good job. After paying for the parking and getting in the car, I realised that some lashes were kinking down and irritating my eye. I loved the look of them and the volume was perfect. I came home and phoned them to ask if they could fix the few lashes that were hanging down. The women I spoke to said that they had an opening at 1 that afternoon to fix them. We had a special occasion that evening and wanted my lashes to look perfect. Plus my husband took the Saturday off to look after my daughter, so I could have them done. I went back at 1pm and am told that they have to remove all my lashes. I asked them why can’t they just sort out the few that need fixing. I was told they cannot do that and all need to be removed. Whilst having them removed, it was mentioned to me that they can’t do a new set as they don’t have time. I was quite annoyed at this point, as I wanted my lashes done for that evening or I wouldn’t have gone back and kept them on until they could be fixed. Also, while she was removing my the false lashes, I could feel my natural lashes being removed. I also noticed this when I got home and looked in the mirror. They told me that I could come back tomorrow (Sunday at 2pm) to have them down again, but not at their store, as they didn’t have an available spot for me. The appointment was made at the hair bar around the corner. The next day (Sunday) I sat there for two hours whilst they did my lashes again. I’ve now spent a total of 4 hours at sorbet. My lashes looked ok but way too much volume. Also, to add, the lash technician was not friendly and full of attitude. She also ********** the tape under my eyes and felt like she was *********** my skin. When I complained at reception afterwards about my experience, I was made out to feel that I was just being difficult. I hardly ever complain unless it’s only very necessary. I could not sleep on Sunday evening, as the lashes felt like they were poking into my eye*****. The rest of the week, I hardly slept and woke up on Wednesday with a terrible eye infection. My eyes are blood shot, itchy and has a yellow discharge. I went back on Wednesday (15 May) to complain. I spoke to Debbie who was wonderful and understood my frustration. They unfortunately only had time at 1pm to remove my lashes, but I was not available at that time. I made an appointment to go back on Thursday (16 May) at 4:30 pm. I also had to arrange for my husband to leave work earlier so he could look after my daughter. Wednesday night, I was in so much discomfort that I put Vaseline on my eyes and waited a while and then took them off. I noticed that most of the lashes did not even have a natural lash attached to it. I am not sure if the lashes were actually glued to my skin and that was causing the problem. I’ve hardly got any natural lashes now. I had to cancel my appointment on Thursday because of the eye infection. My eyes are oozing pus, throbbing, itchy and blood shot. I look terrible and don’t even have lashes of my own. I now need to pay to go see a doctor and get antibiotic eye drops. I have had my lashes done for last 7 years and have never experienced this before. First time having them done at Sorbet and it’s been a nightmare. Wasting 4 hours of my time to land up with an eye infection. Regards Elizabeth
