Re-thrift take good second hand clothing, on consignment and sell it on your behalf and keep a percentage. All very good on paper but, that is where things started to go wrong. Fights started between one of the owners, Karla and my daughter. The we requested that she return all our goods which they did not do. Some stuff was delivered to us by one of those food delivery s******s but a lot was not. Arrangements were made to return the outstanding goods and repeatedly broken with out even the curtesy of a whats app message. there is no street address for this business so I am unable to go and collect myself. Karla made repeated threats about lawyers letters and restraining orders against my daughter. Have not seen a lawyer or restraining order. After a lengthy discussion with a Detective from the local police it is clear that this would be a Civil mater and because of the relatively small amount of money involved would need to go to a small claims court I have decided not to go that route as it will not be worth the effort. Karla also used sick family members as a means to gain sympathy. She also, repeatedly pointed out that my daughter had agreed that any goods not suitable for sale could be donated to charity. In principle I fully support that but strongly dispute that any of the clothing and shoes were not suitable for resale. The total out standing amount of clothing and shoes not paid for or returned amounts to around R4000.00 second hand. Now I am NOT saying that Karla and/or her partners are thieves or fraudsters and I will notify her of my posting in order to give her a fair chance to make good our loses. This is merely done to let people no what happened to us.
