I was referred to Pro CV via Supaquick in Strand. Called them and asked for a quote which was discussed and set at a specific amount. Took my vehicle there and it was there for a day to replace the entire right hand CV joint. The owner called me later in the day to say that the noise was gone as the CV joint was replaced and that I could come and collect the car. When I collected my vehicle and wanted to pay, the amount was more that agreed upon. I didn't say anything or complain as I was too grateful for the service and on having my car back sans the noise. To my dismay, the noise was NOT gone and the issue persisted. I called the owner who said that I should bring my vehicle back so that they can have a thorough look at the undercarriage of the car etc. I took my vehicle back to them at 8am in the morning, by 2 pm i called to hear what the situation was. The owner told me that they couldn't find anything wrong and that the aftermarket part could be the issue. I was extremely disappointed in hearing this as I did not ask for an aftermarket part! Upon questioning this and clearly stating that I did not discuss, at any point, to have an aftermarket part installed on my vehicle, the owner told me that Ford wouldn't sell him the part that I was after. I left Pro CV with the owner telling me that he would phone around to try and get a Ford CV joint for my vehicle and that I would only pay for the new part and no other charges would be added to the bill. A day later I messaged the owner and asked him if he still had my old CV joint that he removed from my vehicle. He replied yes. The following day I asked him if he wouldn't mind to reinstalling my old part which he still had, and to reimburse me the money that I paid, as I was dismayed with the outcome of the whole ordeal and that I didn't feel that any service was rendered for which I paid for. The owner read the messages but proceeded to ignore me. I messaged him 2 days after that, asking him for some feedback. He again ignored me whilst still reading the message. I left it for a week, and messaged him again asking him to reimburse me. Old story by now, he read the message, but refrained from commenting, not even a yes or a no. Needless to say that I feel cheated, still sitting with an aftermarket CV joint in my car which is getting worse every day. Wasted my time, money and energy on this establishment with no recourse, whilst being ignored. I also feel that I have been taken advantage of (how many others?) as I am not a vehicle specialist in any way or form and totally relied on this establishment and its "expertise" to assist me and provide a service for which I've paid for more than what was initially agreed upon.
