A Really bad experience

I asked this company to do a simple investigation for me. It should not have taken more than a week. Paid the fee up front. That was July 25th. It is now October 5th. followed up regularly by e-mail. The phone is not answered. I kep on getting standard messages to "Bare with us". Finally managed to get the CEO's PA Esme. Lot's of promises. The CEO will call me, etc. Still nothing
