Been under debt review from 2022/2023 with credix management, around September 2023 was unable to pay them, around March i called to reinstate my account and was asked to send Email, i did sent them ,up to today no response, i tried to send Emails, tried to call nothing .
I have a bank account with the above mentioned provider ( CAPITEC BANK), for many years without any complains until my money was transferred to unknow people using my banking app which I did not authorize. On the 08/10/2022- R 500.00 was transferred to Surprise Nkuna (from my day-to-day account) On the 09/10/2022- R 350.00 was transferred to Solomon Fadway (from my day-to-day account) On the 12/10/2022- R 600.00 was transferred to M. Malatji ( from my savings account) All these transactions were done from a different phone using my banking app profile without my concern. On the 13/10/2022 I went to one of their branch to get clarity and they phoned their fraudulent department and they advised I must go open a case, make an affidavit, open a case and submit the documents back to either the branch or fraudulent department via this email BSCdisputed@capitecbank.co.za using this ref no.: 98956083. According to their safety rules for their clients, a banking app can only be registered on one phone for one account but to my surprise, all these happened without my approval or authority on a different devise as I had my mobile phone in my possession. Monday the 17/10/2022 I received a call from Nicol, she said: "unfortunately I will not be able to get my money back as the accounts of all these fraudsters' accounts do not have money". I further asked her why would I still have to submit the affidavit and case number if I still won't get my money back? she said they need to submit to external stakeholders as the money was further transferred to other different banks. I am very worried skeptical in continuing to use this bank as they have told me they cannot accouter for my money which they are responsible for making sure that it is safe and secured at all times.
