In addition to my previous review regarding the same business: After still waiting for my bike (November 2022) to be repaired after a mishap in August 2022, I decided to approach my Insurance Company with the hope that they would investigate the situation. I didn't claim of the Insurance as I didn't expect the damage to be much and was prepared to pay for the repairs out of my own pocket (which after estimation of around R20k), however, waiting this long for seemingly only for cosmetic repairs made me think something sinister was going on. After an investigation from the Insurance side they decided to pay out other claim although it's not a repairer on their books so I had to pay the claim from my side receiving the funds. So I did. This was then in December 2022. They've had my bike since August and by now they should have been near completion, right? So I thought.... The amount which they provided to the Insurance called to over R43 000? Where the hell did they come up with this? Anyway... I expected the bike to be completed or near.. again disappointed as now I only received a WhatsApp message stating "Thank you for the payment. We now placed an order for all the parts from Japan and it will take 6-8 weeks to arrive". Japan? My bike manufacturers must be going bankrupt as seemingly NONE OF THE PARTS ARE FOUND ANYWHERE IN SOUTH AFRICA, NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES OR ANYWHERE IN AFRICA. They had to prefer, ONLY NOW TO all parts from Japan after having my bike since August? I TRUSTED THESE PEOPLE WITH MY BIKE! What got me really upset is the fact that on 22 October 2022 I received a WhatsApp from them informing me they have all the parts (With a picture of a beautiful cardboard box) and only waiting to receive the clutch cover on the engine.... NOW ALL PARTS ARE ORDERED FROM JAPAN? It is now end of January 2023 and after sending a WhatsApp to them asking for an update and pictures of the day's date... No response whatsoever. How is this possible that they are refusing updates to me when I'm there owner of the bike who paid for the bike and the insurance. They have been playing for time due to some sinister reason which they are not truthful about and possibly going to return similar to a Code 3 status to me which is extremely dangerous for a person riding the bike. This will cause possible major issues, injury and possible death as a result of undisclosed information or dishonesty. Who in their right minds would jump on a circuit-type bike of which the mechanic and the assistants were untruthful/dishonest about the damages, suspected to be incurred after being sent in to them and risking your life riding on it? This place is dishonest and I suspect, in all honesty, that they did something to this bike, which I bought 3 months prior to the mishap, and they're not honest enough to be truthful about what they did to the bike and at the end of the day being the huge possible reason for your death on the road. They have been playing for time and, from what I saw, milking sad much funds as they possibly can from me and the insurance company. I surely wouldn't trust them with a vehicle now and definitely not with any form of motorcycle. I am now going to question the claim amount in comparison to the value of the bike at to find out why they Insurance hasn't written off the bike seeing that near 50% of the bike had been claimed from damages and therefore possibly placing me in dangerous situations if I had to receive the bike back. This raises questions regarding the Insurance Company now as well, doesn't it? I'll be back on here.
I was involved in a motorcycle accident and I approached Doctor's Bikes in Krugersdorp as I've dealt with them before regarding the service on the bike. The accident occurred 22/08/2022 and I had them collect the bike on 26/08/2022 whereas they said they'd be able to repair. There wasn't substantial damage although serious cosmetic. Two weeks later I contacted them and they said there unable to find fairings or the clutch cover on the side of the engine... So I left it at that. Two weeks later I spoke to them again and I had a fit because it was the same excuse although the fairings they could get was already sprayed but apparently not that nice so they said they keep looking. A week ago I sent then a message on WhatsApp which was then 9 weeks that they have had my bike and they're STILL waiting for a clutch cover and the fairings aren't put on either which I was then informed that can't from until they receive the clutch cover.... You don't need the cover to place the fairings on and, before that I was given a description of newly sprayed fairings, which cost a huge amount, which match the description of the fairings described to me 6 weeks before this. They take 10 weeks with cosmetic repairs and can't find cosmetic parts for the bike? They're a repair shop, are they not? Also to add that it's in my right to have a wobbly considering that it had been around 10 weeks they've had my bike for cosmetic repairs only, as per them, and every time I spoke to them or sent a message there's always an excuse why the bike isn't fixed and then the mechanic seems to become aggressive and tells me I can send my lawyer to them as if I'm in the wrong. In the meantime my budget on the repairs are lessening due to the fact that I have to spend more and more money on transport such as Bolt and Uber to get around. At the end of the day I'm not going to have the funds to pay for repairs as waiting is costing me money - i have to use the above means of transport to get to banks, shops, etc etc etc... I'm suspecting something happened and they're stalling for time yet costing me money by doing so and then the mechanic acts as if I have no right to complain about it?! They are costing me an arm and a leg on expenses!
