On the 22nd April l approaches Chery Centurion dealers to purchase Chery Tiggo 4, 1.5L. Comfort CVT motor vehicle, with the Vin/chassis number LVVDB21B6ND073886 and engine number SQRE4G15CBANA00027 from the dealership on the 21st April 2022, as per the the dealership tax invoice A12823 of the date for an agreed nett price of R313, 899.00. I paid the full agreed purchase price through the bank account with MFC/Nedbank. The delivery date of the vehicle was on the 27 May 2022. I was informed by the sales executive that the first service of the vehicle will be on the 5000km. After the 5000km service the vehicle began repeatedly losing power and was returned on the 12 October 2022 for diagnostic test. There was no feedback from the dealer until I sent a whatsapp on the 26 October to the sales executive who assisted me with the sale of the vehicle. There was no response until 27 October when I received a call from the workshop manager who told me that they we struggling to the power lose issue, but they will call Chery to come and do a diagnostic test on the vehicle. On the 3rd November I went to Chery Centurion office where I spoke to the mechanic and the workahop Manger about the vehicle issue. The workshop manager told that Chery company found out that the vehicle computer box was damaged, but one has been ordered which will be replaced on the 4th November 2022. I was also adiviced that I can come and collected the vehicle in the afternoon of the same date. I did not receive a promised call same day until the on afternoon of the 8th November 2022 that the vehicle was fixed and I can collect. The power lose in the vehicle is the material defect in a brand new vehicle. The material defect/s were never disclosed to me at the time of the sale. I could not accept the vehicle back from the dealer because I had I had no guarantee that replacement of the computer box will resolve the matter. This amounts to a material non disclosure and a material misrepresentation on the condition of the vehicle, which I had been given the assurance, at the time of the sale, that it was a brand new and had no defects at all. This clearly is and was not the case. I will highly appreciate your assistance.
