I Bought a box of After Eight chocolates from Tasko Sweets in Centurion Mall on Sunday 8 December. The store had a 50% off sale. Firstly, I was very disgusted when ate the first one and realised that these were very very old, the icing-like centre had gone completely chewy like a toffee. So I checked the best before date, which said it only expired in August 2025. Then I realised these boxes are usually wrapped in cellophane before opened, and this one wasn't. So l checked the best before date more closely, and saw that the imprint from the original stamp was still visible on the box (which was December 2024) and that they had removed the cellophane wrapping in order to stamp a **** best before date on it. This is VERY *********, probably ******* and unacceptable. Secondly, I think all the stock was marked up in price, because original price (before 50% off) for these were +- R230 (only realised afterwards that the same box goes for R132 in Checkers).
I ordered Vumatel fibre installation through mweb on the 7th of December 2022. I never heard back from them or Vumatel except for a week later on the 14th of December telling me that Vumatel is closed for the holidays and will be back 2nd week of Jan 2023. 2nd week of Jan came and I still had not heard anything from either companies. I tried logging queries - didn’t work. I tried phoning - didn’t pick up. Finally I found an email address on Vumatels website and sent them a email. Suddenly I was notified that they received my order and it will be installed on the 16th of Jan 2023. Installation went smoothly, except that the guys who installed it didn’t explain to me how the box works, and just said that it the line is active. I also received emails from both vumatel and mweb saying that my fibre line is now active. So later that afternoon I followed the instructions and connected my current router to the fibre box. However, the line is not working. The “PON” light on the fibre box keeps flickering. No internet connection. It is now the 19th of Jan, that light is still flickering and there is still no internet connection. Now I’ve spoken to Mwebs technical team, and they told me that there is a technical issue and this will be assisted within 5-6 working days. I am VERY UPSET and VERY UNHAPPY. I have waited over a month for this product to be installed, just to now be waiting another 2 weeks for the fibre line to actually work. Now I have to pay for the service for the rest of Jan which I’m not even receiving. This is EXTREMELY poor service.

SCAM. Website looks legit. Sent me a legit invoice. Paid for a washing machine. They even replied to me saying thanks for the payment and that I will receive info on delivery. Never did. They blocked my number and never answers the phone. Reported to police.
