Good day I have never been humiliated and embarrassed in my whole life like the service i got at Shoprite checkers Newtown at joburg. I was doing my grocery shopping and i went to the department of mayonnaise i pick a bottle of mayonnaise under the shelve where there was a display price of R93.99 but when i reach to the tills the cashier said the mayonnaise was R196.99 not the price i saw on the shelve. She called the supervisor who went with me to the shelve and she saw the mayonnaise was display under R93.99. The supervisor called the guy name "Musa Mdaka" to assist me the guy made my day miserable and i regret Shopping at "SHOPRITE" first he did not even greet me, i my self greeted him and try to explained my story but what i received was the shock of my life.he said he will not give me the mayonnaise with the price i saw, i should have go around the store look for the staff to comfirm if that price was correct before i took it or i was supposed to look for pamphlets and see if that mayonnaise was R93.99 indeed, he refused to overide the price for me and said i must go to hell, the guy was not even listening to me he wanted me to listen to him "further qoute" if you dont leave my store i will run a night shift you will sleep here i dont have a problem... this is what Musa Mdaka was telling me. His voice was very loud, Musa Mdaka was very rude and disrespectful and he dont have leadership skills, problem solving and customer handling skills. As customer i have the right to be heard... Musa Mdaka did not listened or hear my story, right to fair... the treatment Musa Mdaka gave me was not fair... Musa Mdaka is unfit to be in management position he uses power not knowledge, practices, policy and procedures.customer is always right this is the golden rule of every retail industry. I asked him to escalate the matter to his superior since he was not helpful but he neglected my plea and just left me there standing....the guy was so rude and his behavior is *********. Thanks to the lady name Constance who was called she came and resolved the issue by calling the manager to give authorization to overide the price.i then left the store since i was in the store 17h30 pm and left at 19h40, the time i wasted in the store 2hrs without being assisted i need a compensation of my time wasted . When i got home and check my receipt i notice the mayonnaise was charged twice now i have to go back again to the store an get the refund i will need a petrol money for going up and down for this i cannot waste my petrol because of shoprite.
