Avoid Magalies wood work and RP Momberg at all costs. Ordered and paid for wooden board on 27 November 2023 for something that was supposed to be a Christmas gift. RP promised to deliver by 13 December 2023. No effort from his side and I kept following up eventually he stopped replying. Threatened to report him to the bank as ***** to get my money back after which he finally sent something On the 6th of February 2023. Received product and what an absolute joke. Image on his website is a beautiful crafted piece of wood that has been stained and varnished. Product I received is a piece of off cut wood with a word engraved. No varnish, no stain. I wish I could share the images its truly pathetic. No answer from RP. It’s clear he doesn’t care about his customers or the quality of his products. I’m writing a review here because after reviewing him on Google he disabled reviews on Google and Facebook. So please learn from my mistakes and avoid Magalies wood work and RP Momberg at all costs.
Ordered and paid for a compactum on the 24th of July. Corné promised the project would be completed in two weeks. After 2 months filled with excuses and Corné being unable to even send us a picture of the cupboard we eventually asked for a refund. To date the refund has not been received as more excuses have followed. Here with a list of excuses he has used on us. If he has used one or more of these with you be aware. - Bad weather so he can’t apply final coat of paint - Bad weather causing paint to take long to dry - As a result of bad weather paint made bubbles and he had to repaint - Can’t work on compactum due to load shedding - His choice of courier is unable to deliver to us (later directly confirmed with the courier that this was not the case) - Drawer bracket broke and he has to order a new heavy duty bracket - Suppliers do not have brackets - He is 3 hours drive away from warehouse and cannot complete the cupboard - They don’t work on Fridays so we can’t arrange for collection - He did not get a chance to drive to his workshop as he was busy with other work - Claimed to pay a full refund but insisted it would take 3 business days to reflect in my account - Claimed to pay a full refund but accidentally did not release the payment and therefore it did not show - Claimed that he could not pay us because he was owed money - Claimed the people that owed him money did not pay on time and he could not refund us Now Corné is simply not paying and we have been forced to go the legal route. He has switched off Reviews on his page, possibly to hide all the bad reviews. So take this as your warning not to do business with Old Peppertree Furniture.

He refunded a small portion but we are still waiting for more than R2,000.00 Excuses for the refund are as abundant as his excuses for the product. He deletes comments on his facebook page and was agressive with my wife after she posted on his page. He has ignored Lawyer letters and as such we are busy taking up legal action just to try and ensure he cant catch any one else. You have been scammed. I have made contact with several disgruntled clients to help with our case, and it seems he follows the same routine everytime.
