A number of students like to describe the IMM Graduate School as an institution that is not for the weak. I myself can attest to this as in the last 2 years I have faced several issues with this institution where they act unfairly and *******ly as whenever I have had an issue they often use their policies to their own advantage and as a shield for them even if it means that they do not conduct their behaviour in a legal and fair manner. My most recent negative experience with IMM Graduate School occurred in November–December 2025, particularly with Marissa Kidson and Dwayne Oosthuizen, both of whom work within the assessment department, with Dwayne serving as Head of the Assessment Processes Office of the Registrar. In Semester 2 of 2025, I had one module (Transport & Logistics 3) where the examination was split into two parts, Part A and Part B. Part A was the written component, for which we had 24 hours to complete and submit before moving on to Part B, the oral examination. Unfortunately, I experienced technical difficulties when attempting to submit Part A and was unable to do so on time. Immediately after this occurred, I emailed the department and was advised to apply for an academic concession, which I did. I submitted my application together with evidence of the technical difficulties and a detailed report from a qualified technician, requesting the opportunity to resubmit Part A. Despite this, my application was effectively declined, with no clear reason provided. Marissa mentioned they would review my application after results were released but indicated they would only consider my oral exam (Part B). Upon release of results, I had passed all other modules except this one, falling short by only 3 marks. If I had been allowed to resubmit Part A, I would have successfully completed my Bachelor’s degree. I sent Marissa a detailed and motivational letter requesting the opportunity to resubmit Part A, but this was again declined. Instead, I was registered for a special examination, which I had not requested. Since then, I have repeatedly asked for a detailed explanation as to why my academic concession was declined. To date, I have received no substantive response. Marissa referred my case to Dwayne, and even he could not provide a proper answer. Instead, he repeatedly stated that I had been registered for a special examination, implying it was the only option available and dismissing my request for a resubmission. I find this outcome unfair. Other students have been granted the opportunity to resubmit parts of their examinations under similar circumstances, yet I am the only student required to write a full special exam, which comes at an additional cost of R520. The only discernible difference appears to be that I am a person of colour, which raises serious concerns about consistency and fairness. This situation is particularly frustrating because I have faced technical difficulties in the past (2024) and followed the exact same process applying for a concession with evidence and a technician’s report and was granted an extension to resubmit work. I explicitly raised this precedent with Dwayne, asking why my current application was being treated differently, but he refused to address it. Furthermore, Dwayne admitted in an email that while they could grant my concession, they chose not to, citing that I had already been granted the Dean’s assessment. This is factually incorrect a Dean’s assessment, which allows a capped mark on a supplementary exam, is not equivalent to granting a concession for a missed submission. Treating these two remedies as the same shows a concerning lack of understanding of the academic process, particularly from someone in his position. As a student who has consistently followed procedures, provided evidence, and maintained academic integrity, I find the behaviour of IMM’s assessment department deeply concerning, unprofessional, and procedurally unfair. The refusal to provide a proper explanation or remedy, coupled with inconsistent treatment, has caused significant stress and has unnecessarily jeopardised my academic progress. IMM Graduate School prides itself on professionalism and academic standards, but in this case, my experience demonstrates a failure to apply policy fairly and transparently. I hope this review encourages the institution to reconsider how it handles academic concessions and ensures all students are treated consistently and fairly, regardless of background.
HP Productions have recently launched a new program on their secrective website called "self directed loans". I was intrigued and app**** for this loan however I wish that I did not as they stole $1,500 from me and they claimed that they would refund me this money however they have not till today as well as now they do not even bother to respond to my emails anymore. It has even gone as far as them hacking into my mobile banking apps and they have cleaned out both my personal and business bank accounts and literally leaving them with a 0 balance. Below I have attached the link to their secret website of which they use to conduct all their ******* activities and ****s. It is also known that the owner uses this company as a front in order to hide his real business transactions which involve drug dealing, human trafficking and the ******* selling of organs. https://www.hpproductions.site/self-directed-loans.html
I am writing this review to warn people against Hell's Poker Productions as they are nothing but ****mers and *******. They are currently running a program which is called a self-funded loan where one basically indicates the amount they would like for their loan and then you get to decide how much money you'd like to pay. I did so over a month ago, even though my original offer was declined they offered me a counter offer of which I had to pay an assurance of $1,500. It's been over a month since I've made the payment of $1,500 and it's been well over a month since they informed me that they were processing my refund of $1,500 and till today I have received absolutely nothing from them and to make matters worse they ignore my emails and do not bother to communicate with me at all. I'm also currently in the process of suing them and dragging their name across the mud as I've had enough of them and their ill treatment just because of the fact that I'm black and a female.
I recently discovered the company, CL Brokerage and as a first time loan applicant I was left highly disappointed with the level of service I received. I app**** for a personal loan on Friday, the 12th of May and I must say I received a quick response and the loan consultant, Shaun Waso, asked me questions of which I responded to promptly. I only received an update on my loan application once I decided to reach out and ask as nobody bothered to give me an update. In all honesty, after the interaction I had with Shaun I wish that I did not even bother asking him for an update as the level of service I received just from interacting with him was horrible. In other words, he mistreated me and accused me of the unthinkable by saying that my financials are **** when indeed they are not. He did not even bother to ask for any form of financial documents and yet he continued to accuse me of **** financials. Clearly showing his true colours and how he truly treats black people.
I app**** for a loan of $25 000 with Lendz.net in late January of 2023 and I was instantly approved. After sending my banking details and other information as per their request they told me that before I could only receive my loan after paying them legal charges of $550. I was immediately disappointed as at the time I was not working and I could not ask for assistance from anyone from my family as both my parents are unemployed and I am the first born out of 5 children. Fast forward to April of 2023, I managed to gather a bit of money and tried to negotiate with Paul Peterson, who is the financial accountant at Lendz.net on whether there was any way that I could decrease the legal charges. After awhile, Paul and myself eventually reached an agreement and he reassured and confirmed in 2 separate emails that I could pay $300 now and I would receive my loan then the remaining $250 could be paid after receiving my loan. I did as he said and I actually paid a total of $309.68 in bitcoin. After sending Paul the POP, he turns around and tells me that the management at Lendz.net did not agree to the agreement and that in order for me to receive my loan I need to pay the remaining $250. I have even gone as far as asking for a full refund of the payment that I made however as usual Paul sent an email belittling and insulting me telling me that I will never receive a refund. I am honestly so hurt by the actions of Paul Peterson and Lendz.net as thanks to them my school fees are outstanding and I will not be allowed to write exams until my school fees are up to date. Also bare in mind that my first exam is on the 31st of May 2023. What makes this matter worse for me is the fact that Paul took advantage of me and my current home situation as I told him before we had an agreement that it would not make sense for me to pay them the $300 now especially when I do not know if I'll be able to pay the remaining $250 as I have an unstable income as there are some months that I don't receive anything at all. I also truly believe that Paul Peterson fooled me into paying $309.68 knowing very well that I could not receive a refund and that the management at Lendz.net would not agree to the agreement we had as when I called him out for not taking accountability and being *********** he played victim and made it seem as though I was insulting him with hurtful words when indeed it was him to was belittling me. I truly believe that companies that charge people upfront fees especially when applying for loans need to be stopped as this is how majority of people get ****med as well as none of them even bother to include on their websites that they charge upfront fees. They only bother to inform you after giving you false hope and after you have gone through all the effort of signing a contract.
