Broken Promises, Hearts & Wallets
Update from my last review in June 2023. After hastily demanding immediate payment and taking possession of our funds (About R3,400.00) for two dachshunds, we never received either our dachshunds or our funds back despite promises and a lawyer's letter stating that they "do not want our money if it isn't meant for good intentions". I suppose this matter can be taken further to the small claims court as we have everything on paper and this person essentially de*****ed us of our money which was genuinely intended to give two dachshunds a loving home. Long story short... this person is not nice & hides behind a veil to conceal her true intentions and "drive" to home dachshunds (money). We have moved on with our lives, as one should. We now have 3 long haired dachshunds who are extremely happy & loyal to us. They are our fur babies. We wouldn't trade them for anything in the world For those wanting to adopt or support DRSA.....BEWARE

SANMARIE IS THE WORST!! AVOID !! STEER CLEAR!! GEE PAD!! PASSOP!! ACHTUNG!! INGOZI !!
Sanmarie is the absolute WORST PERSON I HAVE EVER MET!! After making us spend thousands of Rands on renovating and preparing our garden cottage, jumping through all of her hoops , the placement was ultimately unsuccessful due to our LANDLORD'S CAT!! Policy clearly states that "A Dachshund will not be placed in a home with parrots, any form of prey or cats." We do not own a cat in our home!! This was told to her more than once. Our landlord's cat will nap on our couch every now and then when we are here, but it is NOT OUR CAT. We told her this when she was in our home the first (and most definitely the last) time. She didn't seem to have a problem with the cat then.After reviewing our drawings and giving the thumbs up, we proceeded to renovate, spend thousands and work for two weeks non stop. Her policy has more holes than Swiss cheese and does not hold water with this specific section. When I sent her a message trying to explain this, I was called abusive and I was blocked. Things turned sour very quickly as she became NASTY AND THREATENED TO KEEP OUR ADOPTION FEES INSTEAD OF REFUNDING US SHOULD WE CONTINUE TO PURSUE ON ADOPTING THESE TWO DOGS. My wife told her in confidence that we recently had a miscarriage. When things turned ugly and my wife was looking for legal advice, Sanmarie caught wind of this and told my wife that , "SHE DESERVED THE MISCARRIAGE " !! Where in your life??!! What gives another person the right to say something like this?? It is incredibly insensitive and unprofessional. She even posted on her FaceBook that we pretended to lose a baby to gain favour with her. Never in my life have I met someone this vile and despicable. It is impossible to defend yourself and to tell your side of the story on her FB page. She simply deletes your comments and blocks you. This has happened to many people on her page!! There are ALWAYS TWO SIDE TO A STORY SANMARIE!! I suspect she tried to de***** of us money as well. My wife wired the adoption fees as requested. Sanmarie then told my wife that it is no good, they require the funds to reflect immediately or she would place the dogs elsewhere. I then proceeded to make an immediate payment. Sanmarie told us that she would pay back the other money the following week. We received a notification via sms that R3,500 was paid into my bank account. Looking over my bank statements, I noticed that only R35 was paid over. After we informed her of this and asked if we should contact her bank on her behalf, she immediately said no and that she would pay us back in cash. Funny thing is that she never once asked to look at my bank statement and unquestionably believed us. We received the cash a few days later as promised. I still wonder if this was a **** Proof of Payment. I will need to investigate this a bit more. Her English is atrocious. Some of her favorite phrases includes "read the policy" , "I have had enough " and "deformation ". I also suggest you educate yourself and learn to spell before calling other people "stupid" and "idiots". Zero people skills as well. My advice is that if you are looking to adopt, rather go through the SPCA like I did. They are much friendlier, more professional, cheaper with the same perks (sterilization etc) and are actually there for the animals. They have inspired me and I am looking to volunteer now and then as well as donating a lot more often. There are also other Dachshund NPO'S that are way better. There will definitely not be a gap should Sanmarie retire one of these days. I pray that Sanmarie's veil is pierced and that the world will see her for what she really is, absolute ****. She reminds me of the prison warden in The Shawshank Redemption. Preaches from the "Good Book" but her actions are anything but. I pray that others don't have to go through what we went through. I also pray that Sanmarie finds realizes she is wrong in treating people this way and finds the right path and hopefully that you find Jesus. We will be investigating a cyberbullying case against you. Do not be surprised of your receive a lawyer's letter soon. Goodbye and good riddance Sanmarie. If we never see each other again, it will be too soon!!
