I requested for footage from Vumacam where an incident took place involving theft and an individual being dragged by a car. After a few hiccups in the beginning, Vumacam staff were able to assist as best as they could to review the footage to find the incident. Unfortunately the incident hasn't been found yet on the cameras however Vumacam have offered for me to come in to review the footage. I appreciate the professional responses that I received and being kept up to date by the agent dealing with the case. I look forward to reviewing the CCTV footage.
I requested for footage from Vumacam where an incident took place involving theft and an individual being dragged by a car. Every last detail was given to Vumacam including the vehicle description, Uber involved description and vehicle registration, approxomite time of the incident, clothing worn by the victim and the attacker, the street corner that the incident happened and the elapsed time in the road. My initial time frame was off, after I corrected it I awaited for over 24 hours and only received another response after having to follow up. The response received was that it is hard to see the incident and I should rather contact my local security company to mark the vehicle involved as a vehicle of interest. The responses received were informal, unprofessional and full of spelling errors. I feel that Vumacam staff are not willing to try at all to go the extra mile to stop crime within South Africa. There was no extra steps taken to try find footage of the incident. What is the point in advertising that Vumacam wants to make South African streets safer when there is no interest in trying to stop crime, it seems it's easier to make it another local security companies problem.
