Following on from my husband's 5 day stay at Umhlanga Hospital at the end of August and the beginning of September, we had a follow up appointment with dr ghila on the 6th September. What a horrible experience. Once inside his room, he proceeded to conduct his examination, only taking my husband's blood pressure and testing his sugar level. Just because this was a bit high, he proceeded to add another diabetic tablet to the list of tablets my husband is currently taking. But what shocked us is that he started ranting about my husband being a "ticking time bomb" and that he should "manage his diabetes". We then asked him for a medical certificate so that we can submit it to his place of employment in order to get paid for the month of September. This was declined, dr ghila was only willing to write one out for a week, ,and ordered my husband return to work, this after having a stroke, bearing in mind he is in no condition to return to work. We were shocked beyond reason. Thereafter he told like children to come back in three months time. dr ghila lacks people skills, he may think he is a dr but in reality he is an idiot. He seems to think everyone else is stupid and he is the only clever person on the planet. Even his staff is scared of him, because he rants at them which is clearly heard by patients.
