I went to request a transfer of file from Roodepoort Children's court to another court on the 4th of September 2023. I was told to come back the following week. I arrived there today and they told me that the Typist hasn't yet done the file,I should return next week Friday again. Does it really take 3 weeks to transfer the file on the system and just hand me the file?I expressed the burden of my traveling expenses and that was not taken to consideration. The lack of empathy for my frustrations as a struggling single mother is more saddening than anything.The level of incompetence is just outrageous. 2019 when I initially made an application,I was told it was my duty to go to the respondent to serve him the summons myself. I was shocked because as to my understanding that is the duty of the maintenance officer to do so. Their lines are never working,this is just pathetic honestly. I am furious and fuming as I'm composing this. The people behind the desks employeed to assist us make it seem as they are doing us a favor.
