Disappointed with the welcoming. The views were amazing and we enjoyed the 2 sets of wines. I reserved a table for 4 ladies (23/09/23 @ 2pm) unfortunately we couldn’t make it on time and I failed to communicate. My friends planned a farewell surprise for me as I am relocating to a new province. They reserved another table for 5 people, so combined we were a group of 9 ladies. The first group arrived on time, and their table had 6 chairs. The ladies requested more chairs and the response was it is going to ruin the tasting room setup, fair enough. I requested if we can split into two as I also reserved a table of 4 and the guy/waiter said if you are 20 minutes late the table gets released, fair enough. However the table of 4 was still vacant there was literally no one sitting on that table but his response was the table is not available. I tried to reason with him as there was a big beautiful lounge available he said it is not available. We asked if it is not possible to sit outside and the response was the wind will blow their glasses away. He refused even after I assured him that we will take full accountability should anything happen. I wanted to vacate the premises so bad however I couldn’t due to the sacrifices the ladies made. I was out of options I ended up asking what can he advise us to do and his response was he can only attend our table if we are 6 not more than that. He told me that we are going around in circles he needs to attend other tables also we are more than welcome to write a bad review on social media!! I have Polio on my left leg and had to be on my feet for a good 10 minutes as we were waiting for 2 ladies to arrive and cancel upon their arrival. Grateful to the lady who offered assistance (forgot her name) and explained everything in a polite manner and went above and beyond to get us assisted. And guess what the same guy came back apologising, explaining that he was not fighting with us but following the terms and conditions of the venue. I fully understand that there’s rules to be followed but can you at least be kind and provide the same level of treatment to every customer when explaining those rules. In all we were advised to sit in the lounge that he earlier confirmed that is unavailable. Thank you to the two ladies for excellent service, you guys managed to lift our moods 🙏🏽
