If I could give Soapy Smooches 10/5, I would! This is by far THE BEST GROOM Luna (our Golden) has ever had! She's beautifully washed and dried, professionally trimmed and smells great. Thank you to Peter and Joseph! You are literally the BEST! And to Sarah for such prompt, professional service. I cannot recommend Soapy Smooches highly enough!
Top medical aid schemes guilty of racial bias, inquiry finds - Juta MedicalBrief https://share.google/JeKLsIMTQULVF0oUw I have spoken at length about the untrustworthiness of Discovery Health. 2 doctors told me their patients had all been refused critical iron infusions (I was also refused although my iron levels were "terrifyingly low"). Now we can add ************** against Black medical professionals. See report attached. Kudos to the CMS for this investigation.
Wow! I rated this pharmacy 1-star a year ago. What a turnaround! It's quick, the pharmacists are jacked and friendly (Vuyo is just lovely), the queues move quickly IF you queue at all, there's a collections counter - never was one before to my knowledge. WELL DONE!!
I had rated them 3-star previously but am now bumping it up to 4-star because of their manager/owner, Vicky's clear passion to improve service and take on board recommendations from customers. I will go back.
We have been to eat at Mohavi a few times now. And I can tell you that it is no fluke that their food IS EXCELLENT! Seriously. Everything we've eaten from vegetarian to meat has been fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The service is top notch! I cannot commend this restaurant highly enough! Go visit!
As per my last review, I did get a call back from a call centre agent. Waste of time. The bored agent simply reiterated what Discovery said on the declination of my urgent infusion due to it being costly (R7000), which is LESS than what my family pays Discovery EVERY month for membership. So, it was meaningless. They really don't care. In addition to this, last year Discovery actually shared my psychology PMB patient diagnosis and contact details with a third party, SilverCloud, without my expressed consent. SilverCloud then contacted me directly in February last year to offer me online psychological products. When I asked Discovery why this had happened, the call centre agent explained that all PMB patients had received communication from SilverCloud. I then escalated this and was advised, bizarrely, that the HealthID screen you sign to give GP's access to your medical file was the so-called consent. And that if I didn't want to receive the SilverCloud services, it would all end there. This was clearly WRONG. On every level. I was then invited to follow Discoverys internal complaint process. Which I did. And guess what? Discovery found that Discovery didn't share my personal diagnosis and contact details without my consent. Next step would be to take this further to the CMS and the Information Protector. Because there is no expressed, written consent from me as a Discovery client, to give Discovery permission to share anything with SilverCloud. Lastly, Discovery were one of the first corporations to increase their pricing across various services based on the 0.5% Vat increase that was s****ped. I have not received any further notice about them reversing this. All in all, a medical aid company that started off well and is now just like all greedy, arrogant, ************* corporations. And, unless Adrian Gore himself calls me, we are set to end our 19-year relationship with Discovery at the end of 2025.
Yes, Discovery called me regarding my last review. I can tell you that the agent was bored, barely listening. This was with regard to an emergency, expensive iron infusion for my "terrifyingly low iron levels." My GP's diagnosis and motivation to Discovery. Declined. I felt nothing will change. So, I decided to also speak about my ZERO trust in Discovery. I will tell you that Discovery shared my personal PMB psychological diagnosis And contact details with one of their third party partners, SILVERCLOUD, WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I went through their complaint process and, wow, they were found to not have been guilty of sharing my personal information with SilverCloud. Shortly after that, Discovery sent communication from Discovery directly about the services that SilverCloud offers. If that's not an admission of improper sharing of information, I don't know what is. My next process would have to be to reach out to CMS. I can still do that. And then go on to the Personal Protection Information commission headed up by Pansy Nthakula. They do this thinking you won't. I still have this avenue. Do not trust Discovery Health. I still wait to see if they will reverse the 0.5% vat charges they implemented BEFORE it was passed. Adrian Gore, you can call me. Not Interested in a bored call centre agent who will do nothing. ADRIAN GORE must call me
We have been loyal clients of Discovery since 2005. 2 months ago, my GP noted my "terrifyingly low" iron level (1.2) and immediately motivated for a high level infusion. Discovery declined it to "high medical cost" and recommended I take iron tablets. I thought the thousands of rands we pay monthly (a family of 5 since 2005) was precisely to cover high medical costs in emergencies MOTIVATED BY YOUR GP. Further, I think the trust index of 2.6 is too high. Who here noted that DISCOVERY was the first company to increase their various costs based on the un-passed 0.5% Vat increase? Now that it's been s****ped, I wonder out loud if DISCOVERY will reimburse anyone. Also remember that DISCOVERY led the way in forcing its employees to take the "vaccine" and then touted not covering vitamin supplements during covid. This 20th year anniversary of our DISCOVERY membership will be our last.
Such a delightful, family owned restaurant, which I am very happy to have opened in my neighborhood, at Kingfisher Shopping Centre, Fourways! The biggest critics I know are my teenagers and they told me about the amazing pizza. That was on Wednesday. We're here on Sunday and it's lovely. This place will take off!
Greens are world standard, better than some highly rates courses in Joburg. Be careful, though, greens are extremely fast! R350 for a round plus cart makes this course a REGULAR MUST PLAY!
