I was really impressed with their swift service and the affordable price being a pensioner. Will most definitely use them again
I had major surgery done on 23/4/24 at Glynwood Hospital in Benoni and paid my co-payment already on 15/4/24 and the bill was only settled to the hospital on 27/5/24 of which I don't have any peeve as it was backwards and forwards from hospital to medical aid for all of the relevant details. But what I am not at all impressed with is that I have to wait till about 15th June before the medical aid will email me a copy of the detailed medical statement for me to then be able to submit a claim for my gap cover of the co-payment. Two month's down the line and I am still out of pocket of my co-payment I was told that under no circumstances can I get the statement any earlier!! This is absolutely ridiculous that it seems that the statements are only generated once a month! I asked if I could speak to anyone in a managerial position or a team leader and was told that they would have to get someone to call me back. I am so stressed with this being a pensioner and now being out of pocket for such a long period of time and it will be even longer as when my gap cover claim is submitted that also takes a while before payment is made. Come on Momentum come to the party and assist me with a detailed claims statement for my hospital payment!
Ever since Sizwe merged and are now called Sizwehosmed their service is absolutely appalling! My Mom passed away in July and there are still accounts of hers that haven't been paid from April 2023 to service providers. It is a constant battle to get all of the bills paid by them. I have spent hours on the phone and the service providers as well. When I took my Mom to hospital in July and the receptionist asked which medical aid and you say Sizwehosmed they all just say oh no! Come on Sizwehosmed get your act together and be the company that you used to be before the merge.
I am always very grateful that the whole process from beginning to end is always dealt with so promptly and Emihle Klaas delivered a very good service
