I called Craig of Point Gas Services after a disastrous electric stove and gas hob installation. He sorted all my problems and provided me with a legal gas COC. He did not want to charge me but I insisted so he charged me for the COC. He also phoned the previous installer and tried to reason with him but only received rudeness. Craig was extremely kind and efficient and quick.
I found MQG Services on Google and dealt with Quintin de Jager. I asked him to install my electric under counter oven. When I went to check on the progress I found my gas hob also being installed (which I did not ask for). When I queried this I was told by Mr de Jager that he could give me a COC for the gas installation. I was not happy with the COC or the installation so called another gas installer who told me the job had not been done safely and the COC was not legal. He then showed me that the electric oven was connected but not secured and the *****s to hold it in place were missing. The oven could be pulled out by anyone. I checked my tax invoice and found it had not been added up correctly and Mr de Jager had added a further R1305 onto the total. I phoned Mr de Jager who denied any wrong doing told me not to bother him and disconnected the call. I phoned him back and he told me to leave him alone and again disconnected the call Following that I emailed Quintin de Jager and explained the issues I was unhappy with, and of course have not received a reply.
