I bought a Bosch Kitchen machine from loot which broke after 2 uses. I sent it in for repair.Whilst the repair was done, they heavily scratched the device in the process. This is very poor service as they do not take accountability for their inability to properly care for the product while it is under their care.
My review is not on the bank as such, but more around the additional "perks" they provide. We bought our tickets using our discovery bank credit card, and qualified for the "free" travel insurance. Due to CODID-19, we had to cancel. We managed to get most of our money back from the agents, but there were some fees which we could not. While the policy wording states that this is not covered, it is disheartening to note that the insurance policy which is supposed to assist us in a loss, does not. After carefully reading the exclusions and convoluted wording, i am convinced that there are very few situations whereby they would actually be required to pay out. Even all the discounts they claim on their products are dubious with finely worded exclusions. Another issue I had with this transaction is that Discovery refuses to refund my flights in full even though we were in lockdown. The claim they provided was airline taxes are non-refundable, even though Emirates states on their website that they are refunding all tickets in full, which included the flights that we purchased. I wish I could give them a lower rating. I will be slowly migrating all the products I purchased from Discovery to somewhere else.
<p>Bought a decoder which I used for a few months. The remote stopped working. Upon calling the callcenter, I was told that only the decoder is covered under the warranty. More DSTV ripoffs.</p>
Hi there, <br> <br> I took my opel corsa for a major service to this provider. On top of this service, various other items were identified for fixing. My car was worth about R55K at the time, and the service quote came to around R14K. My thinking was, let me fix all these items, and I do not have to worry about it for a long time.<br> <br> This turned out to be a huge mistake. They installed multiple items incorrectly, one of which was the rear brakes, which caused massive shuddering, which after a year they could/did not want to fix. They accepted the car everytime to look at the issue, but the car always came back unfixed, with less petrol and more mileage.<br> <br> After a year, i resolved the issue by taking it to another mechanic, and it was fixed on the first attempt. I would avoid this provider at all costs. <br> <br> Leon
I recently upgraded my autopage contract, and activated a 300MB bundle. I am being billed for the bundle, but i am not being allocated the data. I logged a call, and the call was closed without anything being done. It is impossible to get through to the callcenter and there are no responses back when sending emails. This is one truly useless company.
