I want to share an unpleasant experience that I had with Amazing Glaze Spring Field. The exact location is number 56 Ebonyfield Avenue, Springfield Park which is run by Mr Pierre Martin who knows nothing about customer service or after sales service. It was evident that he is a ****** old man who is money orientated and does not honor any warranty that is stipulated in his paper work or invoice that he issues to you. I bought a brand new vehicle which before taking delivery from the dealership, I arranged for the vehicle to be ceramic coated and PPF or VPS to be put on the bonnet and front bumper which amazing glaze quoted me almost R18000. Seeing that Amazing Glaze is a reputable franchise and being in close proximity of the Cheery Car dealership I opted to take my car to Amazing Glaze Springfield Park. Upon booking in my car, I was received by a young gentlemen Percy who is just an employee and therefore requested to meet with the owner Mr Pierre Martin who was not available on that day as he was on some holiday and God knows how he runs his business with no manager or foreman to run his workshop. My car was dropped off at 08h30 on Friday (15th September) to carry out the scope of work that I just mentioned early. Clearly it was a waste of time cos when I passed by that same afternoon, no work was done. I eventually met with Mr Pierre Martin 5 days later and had a discussion with him about the scope of work and the need for him to ensure that customer service is always maintained especially after the work is carried out and to ensure that any work covered by the guarantee is honored. Of which Mr Pierre mentioned that he has been in this industry from 1994 and details high end vehicles. My car was ready for pick up from Amazing Glaze Springfield Park and was driven back to the Cherry dealership on 20th September. I was rather concerned that the salesman from Cheery sent me an email citing that there are some flaws with the PPF or VPS. Understanding that the PPF or VPS needs to be dried out in the sun, I took the advice from Mr Pierre Martin and waited for a few days which should have sorted the problem out. I went back nine (9) days later on the 29th September and made a follow up with Mr Pierre Martin on the scratches on the PPF. He cited that these were no scratch marks but merely glue marks from the PPF which according to me and every other car owner looks like a scratch. I was understanding that maybe over and above the 9 days which have passed the PPF needed more time to dry. I therefore proposed that I will allow the PPF to dry for a further three months (90 day) and come back at the end of December, if the problem still persist. I humbly requested that in 90 days if the PPF did not cure or dry up, Amazing Glaze must please attend to the matter as the PPF installation by Amazing Glaze has a 5 year guarantee. Mr Pierre then decided not to respond but, rather walk away from me whilst chatting to him about the honoring the guarantee. I then again approached him to and reiterated that im being reasonable by allowing three months for the PPF to completely dry out so that the glue marks disappear of which he refused to comment. In an exchange of words, which by the way was not in any way vulgar in nature, Mr Pierre Martin responded by saying that I could publish his business in any social media platform of which he does not care. I departed the workshop and followed up with an email to Mr Pierre Martin on 2nd October expressing my satisfaction with his service and I pointed out that I will be back at the end of December 2023 if there is still a problem with the PPF, of which he did not respond. To complicate matters, he has a partner Mr Norman who sells a good sales pitch about how Amazing Glaze Springfield Park excels in customer service and he will ensure that if the problem with the PPF remains the same, he will have it replaced. Friends, his partner Mr Norman from Amazing Glaze Springfield Park has no power to make decisions as I tried contacting him but, he refuses to take my call and after speaking to one of the workers from Amazing Glaze, the message conveyed to me that he is only in charge of car wash and not the PPF side. Clearly, Amazing Glaze Springfield park plays games with customers. Im now in a predicament as this company has no head office that I could log a formal complaint and im therefore using this platform to name and shame these idiots. Good people, I encourage you not to make use of this branch. Not because I had an unpleasant experience but other customers have experienced the same poor customer service. Maybe if theres any doubt to what im sayng I suggest that you check the reviews on hellopeter for Mr Martin Pierre from Amazing Glaze (East Coast) and you can then decide if you want to detail your car at this branch. Maybe other branches like Amazing Glaze Pinetown are different in terms of offering quality service.
