Active since Nov 2023
We have a vehicle booked in at Hyundai Amanzimtoti for repairs. They had an alleged break-in at their workshop on the 30th September 2023 where the window and rear-view mirror etc. was smashed, all rims & tyres, radio etc. were ****** from this vehicle. It has been over TWO MONTHS since this incident and this vehicle is still at their workshop with no indication from anyone at Hyundai as to when this will be resolved - we have no use of this vehicle (not even an offer of a courtesy vehicle) and yet continue to pay the monthly instalments and insurance. Despite many attempts with the workshop itself and their insurers, they refuse to communicate with us and keep directing us to their insurers (who say they cannot divulge anything to us as a 3rd party). As their customer they have treated us with absolute disregard considering this vehicle was in their care - we have no alternative now but to report this to the Motor Industry Ombudsman & take legal action. In this day and age you would think a 'reputable' dealership would conduct themselves better! Even their head office switchboard refuses to transfer our call to anyone senior!
