These are the most ********* ****bags I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I took my bakkie to them to sell, they inspected the vehicle for about an hour. I informed them that the previous owner had repaired some damage poorly. We agreed on a price and I signed a sale agreement and left the vehicle with them. After a couple of days I got hold of them again as I hadn’t been paid. They then informed me that they would be pulling out of the sale due to the natis report showing the vehicle was previously owned by an auction house. Already this was ********* but I had a previous offer from Webuycars so I accepted this. I went to fetch my vehicle from them and when I arrived I was told the vehicle had already been sent to their outsourced panel shop in Gordon’s bay and that the papers had already been sent to MVR for ownership to be changed. I was made to sign a blue form to have ownership transferred back to me and then I waited 4 hours for my vehicle to be returned to me. Once my vehicle arrived back I noticed that there was a whole lot of damage to the vehicle. I was told that the bonnet opened while driving back from the panel shop. At this point they essentially washed their hands of the situation and told me it’s between me and the panel shop. I tried to claim for the damages through my insurance but because the vehicle was in Cape Bakkie Centres name at the time of the accident the claim was rejected. Leaving me holding the bag for the damages. To add insult to injury when I requested a letter stating why ownership had been transferred so I could conclude a deal with Webuycars I was told that I would only get said letter if I had my lawyer furnish Cape Bakkie Centre with a letter stating that I would take no further legal action against them in future. Because I had run out of time before an international job trip I had to do just that. In short, avoid this company at all costs!
I bought a used vehicle from them. The car had 12000km on the clock so was essentially a demo. I was told the vehicle had no issues and no previous accident damage. When I had my tracker installed the technician informed me there were signs of previous airbag deployment and accident damage. I then used a vin lookup site to check for previous issues and found out the car had been in not one but 2 major accidents. It’s more than 6 months since I bought the car so there’s not much I can do about it other than warn potential future clients. Be very weary of these guys
