Beware! This site debits more than you order!! I ordered a book online from this site. As soon as I paid for the book, my credit card was immediately debited with an extra US$270 (the book was only $7.20).

This used to be our favourite store but our recent online experience has left us never wanting to set foot near the place again! After shopping in store we were given a R100 voucher towards our next shopping purchase. To cut a very long story short, IT DOESN"T WORK, and seems a total ****. We tried every which way for several hours to get the coupon app**** to our purchase without success and when we tried to contact their customer service, they didn't answer the phone, then their online chat just sends you an email to which they have not responded more than 36 hours later. We also emailed them with our query and received an automated response promising to get in touch which also never happened. The whole experience was calculated to frustrate and left us mad and upset. Shocking, shocking service from a company that proclaims that it REALLY values it's customers. Also, once you have registered online, it starts sending you promotional emails every few hours and then when you hit the unsubscribe button it states that you can only unsubscribe 20 minutes after registration and this more than a day later. This is actually an ******* practice but they continue nonetheless. Goodbye Cape Union Mart, your online service stands nowhere near your in store employees.
