Installed one of Ink Station's toner cartridges and after a few weeks printer simply wouldn't print. There were a lot of threads on Reddit that Brother was bricking printers via firmware updates so thought the worst. I sent off a complaint to Brother, who were actually quite helpful. They asked for photos of the cartridge etc and suggested I try to reinstall. This didn't work of course but luckily I had a spare Ink Station cartridge which did work properly. The problem was a faulty toner reset gear on the first cartridge. I asked Ink Station how to fix the faulty gear lever on their cartridge but they said no idea and suggested google. I'll be googling a different third party supplier.
