In 2017 I took out a funeral cover for my aunt with policy number ending 91B1. My aunt passed on in 2021. I went to Old Mutual to claim my policy but was told there is a restriction on my account since the amount that they deducted is less than the amount I signed up for. I requested for my contract they did not provide it to me, I did inform them that they were the one's that did put that amount on my Debit order, I didn't pay in the money cash. They failed to accept responsibility. Ever since 2021 I have been going up and down to Old Mutual Upington without any proper assistance. I checked with them if there is any other funeral cover that might have issues, I was ensured that everything is in order. Dejavu in 2022 January my cousin passed on same script, different cast. I was told again that this funeral cover ending with policy 16B1 is also having a restriction same scenario. Now tell me, who in their right mind would want them to be bitten twice, after I ensured that my things are in order I got the same treatment. Do not take out a funeral cover from Old mutual they are quick to take your money, but when they need to pay out, they are full of excuses.
