My daughter had the most amazing birthday experience on the 30 November 2024! After paying R75 for the ticket per person, R45 to hire skates, and then R75 for a penguin... We were so fortunate to have a professional skater named Madison assist my daughter with her fear of skating. They had so much fun together that by the end of the lovely 2 hours of seeing her go from falling and crying to smiling and hugging Madison, we could never have been more excited about her wanting to ice skate again! The staff there are friendly and professional! They're strict on their rules and this is something to really take proudly! We look forward to having another wonderful time with them! I highly recommend Galleria Ice Rink!
After an excruciatingly painful long wait and experience as a bride and groom we eventually were sent our wedding photography and videography package along with threats and an attorney's letter. We then made sure we were legally allowed to post a review before doing this review post. Before scheduling our wedding package with Elzanne and Andre of Arline Photography and Video Productions (https://www.facebook.com/arlinephotovideo / www.arlinephotography.co.za) we were informed of what we would receive in the experience, we were happy with these discussions. We signed their booking form (contract). We paid R25000. Thereafter the conversation went more cold. Neglect to our Spiritual program proved to be an issue immediately. We also asked if we could send our preferred photo list and were told they had things under control and have a system that they do their capturing. We booked believing each wedding was treated with a unique and individual personalized approach. Another concern. But, We trusted them. We shouldn't of. We also made sure to take our own cameras with just incase. Best thing we could have done. We paid for the two photographers accomodation of which they didn't use the night before. Which was a requirement from them. More money wasted. On the day of the wedding, I, the bride, was consistently asking where the photographers were as they were missing venue details and crucial getting ready moments. Fortunately I ran to capture these myself in the event that they would be missed. Sadly, they were missed by the photographers. Plenty time was still available but unfortunately the program was not followed by the photographers which resulted in more moments being missed by the photographers. Details such as the father daughter box, the groom opening his box (we didn't have an issue with the groom seeing the bride), the mother daughter box, the daughter and bride box, the brides**** and bride box, bride and daughter moments, mother of the bride getting ready, daughter getting ready, brides**** getting ready, bride getting ready, mother of the bride veil moments, father of the bride tie moments, along with the ceremony and reception venue decorations as well as accessories weren't all fully captured by these photographers. Furthermore, the bouquet game wasn't captured, candid photos during the reception weren't captured and the change outfit walk in was not captured by the photographers either. A stunning bonfire was also ignored by them. The photographer Elzanne was sitting down playing with the bride's daughter during the reception instead. Side photos taken of speeches were badly captured because of this. All moments during the bridal party make up and hair weren't captured by the photographers and only a mock up was done of my make up despite ample time having been allocated to capture everything thoroughly. Instead, the photographer Elzanne decided to speak ill of former clients and scold her husband Andre as well. We were allocated 9 hours (after signing despite the advert showing full day coverage) and yet only 7 hours were captured with the photographers stating there wasn't enough lighting but there was more than enough lighting throughout the entire day and evening. As a photographer myself, I know to have this perfect too. We left it at that as it had already been a concern during the day as to whether the moments were captured properly given that the photographers asked us to walk through the door at the ceremony twice due to having missed capturing it. Our formalities were far fewer than that of a regular wedding, leaving this rather disappointing. After the wedding had ended, we then went on our honeymoon, awaited our sneak peeks. The first sneak peeks came back with very dark editing as well as the wrong shade of colour for the details. Red instead of Burgundy. We explained our issues. We were then informed that we would receive the new sneak peeks by a certain date and only after messaging them a few days after this due date, we finally received the second sneak peeks. The contract we signed stated it would take 18 weeks for proofs, the wedding was the 22 June 2024, their late sending of the due dates stated the 30 October. 4 days over due. Before receiving the proofs, we asked if there wasn't any video footage available to view as we were so excited. Immediately this was an issue to them. Instead of positive and warm communication, I received gaslighting from Elzanne which included a cold statement that said that no matter what she did, according to her, she felt that I think she wasn't good enough, in no way was this the case. Furthermore, Elzanne continued to state that I'm a bridezilla and that I was speaking to her rudely with further gaslighting. Immediately without any consideration for the fact that we are the clients, she wanted to just refund us R25000. Ignoring the hurt she was causing us and without any ounce of compassion, made it clear that we were no longer going to get our photos or videos anymore. Just because I asked to see something out of excitement. Our hearts were crushed. We had nobody else use their phones or camera's during the entire day besides the photographers and myself, the bride; that losing these memories was honestly painful to experience. We simply had everyone not capture anything as we trusted these photographers to do what was initially agreed upon, and having paid such a large sum of money too. My husband then decided to phone her and just do whatever that was necessary and whatever Elzanne said only in order to get our memories of the most important part of our lives. They agreed to doing exactly what I had originally informed them, but only because it had now come from my husband, were they willing to, so it was assumed. We received our proofs. They asked our thoughts on them as they would require approval to go ahead with completing the USB and designer album as per the package. We then mention our issues and instantly get told that they knew we weren't going to be happy. More gaslighting. And that they were happy with what they were providing to us and that our disappointments didn't matter. Disappointments included: blurred details that the text of decorations were illegible, over exposed and underexposed accessory images, post edit clipping mask blur of all beautiful forests thus losing character; and as if photos were taken for the sake of taking them without passion as faces were captured without a key eye to timing. Post edit of the images were not as previously advertised of other clients. The fact that space was large, lighting plentiful with acres of land available for everything to be done well. It was devastating to have received such images. Given that we also signed the contract stating that our daughter not be posted to any social media whatsoever, they had done so without our permission... but fortunately we had the post taken down for her protection. Further trust broken. On the 21 November 2024 we eventually received our package via Postnet and after having looked at the newly edited images, it's evident that it wasn't in camera lens blur or bokeh as they had argued it to be, but in fact post edit clipping mask blur after all. A dishonest argument used to defend their reputation whilst diminishing my honest truth about the images we had received as proofs. It's one thing to be dishonest, but another to tarnish us as individuals who are the unhappy bride and groom. We will state that Previous clients had a wonderful experience, so it is assumed given what's visible on social media. But, unfortunately before, during and after our special day, it was certainly not a pleasurable experience with Arline Photography and Video Productions at all. We wouldn't know if they had other bad experiences as it's evident one will receive threats and lawyers letters if you speak about the experiences had. Glad reviews aren't *******. It's our experience that we have got to share in fairness. We highly do not recommend using these photographers for any wedding day. But, as with any review... this would be ideally completely up to you (whoever is reading this) as to whether you would or wouldn't want to use their services. We surely won't in future.
