My husband took his brand new X5 m60i to dent doctor Pinetown to repair a 2cm deep scratch and a dent on his passenger door whilst we were on holiday in Durban. Biggest mistake of our lives. They gave the car back to us with ripples, fingerprints under the paint, they oversprayed onto the fender and rear door. They also put blotches of two different coloured paints on the drivers side. They destroyed a R2.5 million rand car in one day, we need to spray the entire side of the car, yet it’s not even been in an accident and it’s 2 months old now. Over and above they conduct illicit business the employees asked us for cash and said I couldn’t pay with my card as they won’t charge the VAT, de*****ing SARS. I reported this illicit activity and damages to Dent Doctor head office in December and insisted on getting the owner’s number of the Pinetown branch. Eventually I pressed the head office and after a week the owner called me, Anand Bridglall promised to sort out the issue and sent me to a contact here in centurion who couldn’t remove the overspray as it’s under the clear coat. The contact he sent me to is a professional assessor, he told me the work wouldn’t be anything under R30k, that is the extent of damages they caused. I informed the owner that I’ll take the car to an approved BMW repair center and sent him the quote, he is not honourable as he is trying to still push us to repair our car at contacts he has, contacts I do not trust. Never use these ****mers, the owner is ********* just like his staff, he is not a man of his word. Go to a reputable panel beater, I have used places like the Magic Touch Up and Dent Fix Pro in the past in Johannesburg with no issues at all.
