Franchise at the neighbourhood in Linksfield. We arrived at the restaurant at 17:45 and had no booking. The lady managing the bookings told us we could have a table until 19:30 and we accepted. We finished our meal and asked for the bill at 19:00. At the same time the lady managing the booking came to tell us that we had to leave the table as the next customer had arrived. We told her we were waiting for the bill at which point the client that had booked the table came to tell us personally that she had booked the table for 19:00. We left the restaurant at 19:10. We were literally thrown out of the restaurant with a simple “I am very sorry” from the manager of the restaurant. We have never been treated like this and made us feel like we got the time wrong. What is more appalling is the behaviour of the next customer who could not wait 10 minutes for the table to be vacated. The lady managing the bookings should get a stern warning and the manager of the restaurant should be ashamed to be in the hospitality industry. I will not support his restaurant in the future and this gives a bad name to the franchise and i will not support any others in Gauteng. In fact I have a lunch for 10 people on Wednesday 5 Mar 25 at the George’s in Rosebank and I will take my business elsewhere.
