Currently rebuilding my 2000 kia sportage engine and have struggled to find main bearings with full thrust washers like it comes from factory. I was lured in by his picture on the website that shows bearings for the 1st gen sportage that has full thrust washers. Messaged the number on the website to find out whether it does come as seen on the picture to which it was confirmed and I requested the brand of the bearings on which he rep**** "We only stock name brand bearings". Placed the order in hopes that it would be what i was looking for. Waited a week and half for bearings to arrive after I was told 3 days. waybill for shipping was sent the day the bearings arrived after requesting for updates on the shipping information on which the response was "Its on its way". And when bearings arrived it was not what I was looking for ,not the promised full thrust washers nor was it brand name bearings. Anyone that has dealt with engine main and big end bearings know they come in shrink sealed plastic with oil inside , and you are not able to return them if packaging is opened. this is to prevent oxidation and corrosion of the bearing surface prior to install, well these bearings packaging came with plastic never sealed properly from factory so already red flags popped up for me, google searching the brand on the packaging just made me more concerned as it seems to be a bad knock off of a racing bearing brand and racing bearings normally dont cost R150 more like R2500 no other companies on google match the branding on the packaging and the part number sticker has been removed and replaced with sticker of my name and order number which just tells me he is covering his behind for clients to find out that he is selling chinese/indian knockoff parts. So in short customer service is nearly non existent he will just say yes to questions and give minimal answers just to get the sale done and when you get your parts after waiting for ever you found out you waited for something that you could have probably gotten better quality at china town. Considering how my experience has been so far and the fact that complaint and request for return is left on read and being ignored for a day surely means I will not be able to return the parts and get a refund and Im to good hearted to sell these off to another person knowing its quality is sub par and that it will probably give me a bad reputation. Luckily it was cheap set of bearings that I learnt my lesson on and not a more expensive and or bigger order. Rather buy your parts from local parts suppliers where quality of parts can be assessed before purchase. due to my desperation to find a set I was looking for I took a chance and I have just confirmed what I feared to be true.
