DC Solar WC (PTY) LTD – Paid in Full, Poor Workmanship, Missing Equipment & No Accountability
Complaint: I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from DC Solar WC (PTY) LTD. I paid for the full installation of solar panels, an inverter system, and other electrical work for both my home and business. The work was done poorly and remains incomplete. I now need to hire another company to redo and complete the work at an additional cost of approximately R80,000.00. Here is a summary of the issues: I paid a R20,000 deposit for additional solar panels and an inverter which have not been supp**** or installed. The inverter I paid to have repaired was not repaired. The old geyser he was supposed to remove is still on my property. The extractor fan he installed keeps tripping the power. He broke my inverter, and I’m still waiting for an invoice for the repair. The work that was started and fully paid for is not completed. He removed our separate DB board for the inverter and incorrectly connected everything to the main electrical board. No Certificate of Compliance (COC) has been issued, which is legally required. This situation is completely unacceptable and feels like a case of dishonesty and gross negligence. Despite multiple attempts to get a response or refund, I’ve received no resolution from DC Solar WC (PTY) LTD. I strongly advise others to avoid using this company. Very unhappy with the service.
