Be Careful of Cheaper Spares

I completed the parts request form on looking4spares website. A website where buyers meet sellers looking for spares. After completing the form I received an sms from the Cheaper Spares supplier by the name of Blessing with a quotation of a RF headlight and RF Foglamp. As soon as I received the sms, I contacted him via watsaap to confirm the prices of the headlight and foglamp which he confirmed that it is R2500 headlight and foglamp was R850 as per the sms I have received, courier services was R350. All this enquiry was made on the 14th July 2025. He also sent me a picture of the headlight and I was happy. I informed him that I will contact him again the following week. On the 25th of July I contacted him via WhatsApp again and he still quoted the same prices as the previous week. I further asked him if he also had the foglamp cover and he confirmed that he has it and added it on the quotation. I paid R4450 on 29th July for RF Headlight which costs R2500, RF Foglamp which costs R850, RF foglamp cover which costs R 750 and courier of R 350.When it was time to deliver, he made run arounds claiming that he needs to engage with his business partner, as he does not allow him to dispatch the headlight because he underquoted. He indicated that because he underquoted me, he will only send the headlight while he is still trying to negotiate with his business partner on the foglamp and foglamp cover. When I tried to contact him, he no longer responds to WhatsApp or WhatsApp calls, or responds very late. He keeps coming up with excuses on why he is not answering, how busy he is, etc. He only delivered the headlight, but it was totally different from the picture he sent, furthermore the headlight was faulty. Now he refuses to send the foglamp and cover because he indicates that the money I paid only covers the headlight. Now I informed him to refund the remaining R1600 for foglamp and foglamp cover, but he does not want to confirm when he will make payment. So, in short, he is now saying the total R4450 paid to him was for the headlight only. This is not as per the quote/invoice he gave me.This situation has caused significant inconvenience and financial loss, and I am concerned that over and above the bad headlight I have received, I might not get my refund for Headlamp and headlamp cover. I ended up contacting looking4spares via email to intervene and they are trying to assist, but to date, I have not received my refund and I am stuck with a headlight that is faulty, which Blessings refuses to take back and I have not received my refund for the Headlamp and cover. Please be careful of this ****mer.
