Concerning Extra Refundable Insurance: Urgent - Unresolved Order/Refund Issue - Order for Avalon Q (25 August 2025)
Subject: Urgent - Unresolved Order/Refund Issue - Order for Avalon Q (25 August 2025) I am writing to detail a concerning experience with an order placed on 2025-08-25 for an Avalon Q miner, with a payment of ZAR 28,999.00. A day after payment, I received an unexpected invoice from "ASIC MARKETPLACE INSURANCE" for a Refundable Insurance of ZAR 8,165.00. This additional charge was never disclosed prior to my purchase. Upon learning of this, I requested to pick up the miner directly from your premises. However, I was informed via WhatsApp that pickups are not permitted due to "security reasons." Given the uncommunicated insurance charge and the inability to pick up the order, I requested either a direct pickup or a cancellation of the order. My order was subsequently cancelled, and I was assured a refund would be processed. As of today, I am still awaiting this refund. Despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to reach your finance department via phone; communication is solely through WhatsApp. I sincerely hope for a swift resolution to this matter. I will update this review/message once I receive concrete feedback or, preferably, the full refund.
