30 July 2025, I saw an Aubusson carpet advertised on Poppi Decor status. She sent me four dark photos of the carpet where nothing obvious could be seen. Lize mentioned that there were two small marks on a fold, but stated that nothing was damaged. I asked her about the nature of the marks and whether the carpet had been bleached. She rep**** that it had been folded up for years The carpet was invoiced to me on 31 July 2025, sent by courier on 7 August 2025, and arrived on 8 August 2025. Upon inspection, I found significant damage: • A 5x5 cm hole visible on both sides, and • Another repaired area using incorrect cotton yarn, not matching the original wool. .smaller hole I immediately sent Lize photos of the damage. She responded with “no ways” and claimed she had not noticed any damage. The following day, I left Knysna and left the carpet there for quotes on possible repair, but was informed (by Zahid) that no one locally could repair it. I brought the carpet to Johannesburg on 20 September 2025, where I obtained a repair quote from MKT Gallery for R2,700 (hand repair).They report Moth damage On 27 September 2025, I requested a full refund, which Lize refused
