Excellent construction company

EW services were recommended to me by the insurance company after they awarded me a cash settlement to pay for a burst pipe in my bathroom. Having had absolutely no previous experience with this company, they were a complete unknown quantity to me. From the initial visit by Mrs Erica Williams (There is a clue to the name of this company), Dave the Project manager and Russel the assessor I knew that this was a no-nonsense construction company who immediately formulated a plan and a timeframe for the job at hand. Unfortunately, the majority of Cape Town private builders who I have had previous experience with, always led to disappointments with unreliability, bad timing, inconsistency and no planning. It is my understanding that this company have various crews of different trade disciplines, who get assigned in sequence to a particular job which results in one crew of a particular skillset on the site at a time and, unlike so many private builders where one skill steps in for another skill, even though they might not be qualified for a particular job or simply a close relative. Also, there were no unnecessary workmen stepping and working over one another simply because they are on site. This company, in my opinion, sits somewhere between a major construction company and the private builder with a bakkie, but their rates are surprisingly not that much higher than the bloke with a bakkie and nowhere near the major construction company. It was really comfortable working with a coordinator who not only kept me up to date with regular Whatsapp messages but also answered all my questions professionally. I have never experienced a private builder who regularly sent me test messages to keep me informed of the plan. Just feeling confident that the tradesman was going to arrive at my door every day as per the verbal program, put these guys streets ahead of any private builder who I have dealt with in the past. The quality of each tradesperson’s work was very good and absolutely no corners where cut and every time I asked for something extra to be done, which was really infrequent, the dedicated tradie accommodated by requests with no effort at all.
