I’m posting this to warn others. I ordered “Kideo Talkies” (video walkie talkies) from baun.co.za on 22 November because the product page explicitly states: “✔ Ships in 1–2 days — Fast, local delivery” BAUN SA “✔ 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee” BAUN SA That “fast, local delivery” claim is not what I experienced at all. They only provided tracking after I chased them on 26 November, and the tracking showed it was coming from China. Delivery only happened on 15 December — 23 days after I placed the order. When the product arrived, the quality was honestly horrible for the price. It looks and feels like a low-cost import, and I later found what appears to be the same item listed on SHEIN for much less. The final straw: I requested a refund immediately after delivery because I was unhappy with both (a) the misleading “local/quick” delivery message and (b) the poor product quality. Since then, they have ignored me. If a store markets “fast, local delivery” and a money-back guarantee, then customers should not have to chase for tracking, wait weeks for an overseas parcel, and then be ghosted when they request a return. I strongly advise potential customers to avoid supporting businesses that market themselves as “local and fast” but operate like dropshippers and then go silent when there’s a problem.
