Revo is taking advantage of people by charging R1,000 for a credit check, which is highly unusual and excessive. This fee is one of their requirements when applying for a rental property. I app**** for a fully furnished flat in Bellville (New Boston) in early January 2026, with a move-in date of 01 February 2026. As the move-in date approached, I contacted them several times via phone and email for feedback. They eventually responded and informed me that another applicant had qualified for the property. I accepted this outcome, as I understand that not every applicant will necessarily meet the financial or other qualifying criteria. However, as of today, 24/02/2026, the apartment is still being advertised as available, now with a move-in date of 01/04/2026. This raises serious concerns. This company needs to be investigated, as their practices appear *********. Charging such a high fee for a credit check and continuing to advertise the property after claiming it has been allocated is questionable and potentially exploitative.
