I am posting this publicly because I am being treated like a **** by your Daveyton branch (Majutene Square), and I need answers immediately. On the 25th of July 2019, I went to the Majutene Build It in Daveyton to load money into my Build It account. For clarity: I was not buying goods to take home that day. I was depositing funds into my account with Build It so that the money would be safely stored there, and I could collect the materials whenever I was ready to start my building project. I handed over my hard-earned money to your cashier, Lerato Phala, on that day. Here are the transaction details: Tax Invoice Number: INV53659 Date: 25 July 2019 Total Amount Paid: R53,200.00 Payment Method: R25,000.00 via Credit Card and the balance in CASH. Cashier: LERATO PHALA Number of Items on Slip: 4297 (this refers to the payment transaction) I have the physical proof. I have the original tax invoice and the payment receipt. The money left my bank account via the card machine, and the cash left my pocket and went into your cash drawer. Now, months later, I am ready to start my project. I went to the Daveyton store to collect my materials, expecting the R53,200.00 to be sitting safely in my Build It account, waiting for me. Instead, I was told by your staff that they "cannot locate the funds." How is this possible? I did not take goods that day. I simply LOADED MONEY into your system. This is a pure cash deposit into my account with your store. How does a payment of over Fifty Thousand Rand simply disappear? Where is my money? Did your cashier ***** it? Is there a hole in your financial records? This is totally unacceptable, and I will not tolerate it. I have the invoices. I have the proof. I want to know exactly where my R53,200.00 is. I want my money made available immediately so I can buy my building materials. This is a massive failure on your part. I demand that a senior manager from Build It South Africa contacts me TODAY to resolve this. If I do not receive a satisfactory response within 24 hours, I will be opening a case of theft with the SAPS and laying a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman.
